I agree 100%. I'd have to have the stripe for that very reason.

Mate, keep up here - the post I was referring to had a Silver Speciale on the rhs and a black FF or Lusso on the lhs. I didn’t repost the pic because frankly it’s annoying to have the same pic reposted multiple times in a thread.

    I respectfully disagree.

Why shouldn't a buyer express themselves the way they want? In many ways a spec tells more about the individual than almost anything else about them can. Wonder if Facebook will start using this for targetting purposes haha?

Ferrari will always defer to its ''style department'' if an owner is going too far off pista (sorry lol). Some specs are to me are like Coco The Clown but my opinion doesn't matter; if someone has paid a fortune via Tailor Made or the Atelier, well done them. They earned the privilege. And well done Ferrari for taking vital and highly profitable revenue.

Now, do I go satin for my prancing horse (rear emblem and wheel centres) or keep it original gloss?

Well, I suppose I agree with you theoretically, but lord how some of these cars I see are hideous. I just thank god these options weren’t available on the 288 GTO or the F40, etc. I do think in the long run it will hurt the Ferrari brand when nobody, or very few, want these cars in future. But, I guess, you’re correct, we as buyers should be afforded the right. They really should have some style principles, regardless. Anyhow, just my opinion.

Agreed. And I think it's worth assuming that when Ferrari say no, it's no. As I understand this has already happened on one Pista spec.

Yes, I have heard of several instances where they said no. As for the level of customization available, I am all for it. Forget the 250 GTO and look at all those one off custom Ferrari Super Fasts and America’s instead. Wonderful. Let the tradition continue.

Do you think that a different design for the stripe can be ordered if Atelier or TM?
I mean I really wonder about 2 larger lines...(inspired by the FORD picture...)

Seems other stripe liveries taper in at the front bumper to form a pleasant illusion due to the basic shape of the vehicle. Makes the stripe meld into the form nicely without overpowering. The Pilota's wide flare out in the front does not take advantage of this feature and is somewhat awkward and unattractive IMO.

Black doesn’t seem to go well with the Pista design - you seem to lose lots of the interesting details. Red looks great, but mainly with the silver or gold wheels, less so the carbon. But carbon wheels are important I think. I think my first yellow car beckons....
