The 80s were great times, I recall them fondly

I'm sure it is stated earlier in the thread

You'll have to try a Countach out for size.

Typical driving shoes work for most people, I happen to mostly use retro running sneakers and they work well for me.

I was, until I learned the error of my ways. Was like a bouncy castle until I dropped the pressures down. Thanks to the sage advice found on this forum.

Yes, early QV pedal arrangement is not ideal because of larger amount of real estate occupied by the a/c evaporator and fan vs. LP500S & earlier. The central tunnel is closer to the accelerator creating a narrower space between the accelerator and brake pedal. The fix? When you have your car completely apart for restoration, re weld smaller (anniversary style) pedal pads further to the left. This will allow room to make use of the throttle without twisting your ankle and still allow for heel/toe work.

    So very true!

I have to wear loafers or wrestling shoes when I drive mine. Here is what the Piloti’s look like down there that I wore when I had the Jalpa. The only way to drive the Countach with these was to use the very tops of the shoes, which isn’t easy to do with the clutch!

Good idea, although you don't want to move the clutch pedal pad too much to the left or you'll be hanging up on the dead-pedal and not fully depressing the clutch.

In summary then, no clown shoes!

Puma retro sneakers works great, slim, no fat seams or add ons. Also the nylon slim retro Addidas. Both also looks cool,

It has the setup of an LP400S S3 or LP500S, the QV was set up to sit slightly lower than this car with the pitch angle lower in the front, IMO it's important to have optimum suspension setting sorted with these cars as the center of gravity of the engine is already slightly higher than ideal

    That's even better Walter!
