Surely with this and the Kimi penalty, the FIA has NO choice but to penalize Lewis? There was no force majeure, it was a conscious decision to go back on track.
You don’t get it. Elton Ham-Dashian queen of all that is F1 is rewarded for all his efforts whether they be good or bad. The entire sport serves him.
#Seb5: ‘Mine was a small mistake with a big impact on the race. I braked a bit too late and I locked the rears, I’m very disappointed’
He should nut up and vow to correct this crap and fight to the death and WIN the freaking championship.
Why so many lock ups. If that where true the car wouldn't skid off. Good thing he take himself that it was his mistake that cost him. He did say in the interview he be having nightmares sleeping after that so he at least toke the mistake and not brush it off.
No need to jump off the deep end. We're the quickest and the season is barely half over. There's always an ebb and flow to the results. Hamilton had so bad luck recently and today it was Vettel who had the cards go against him. Bring on Hungary!
d) Except in cases of force majeure (accepted as such by the Stewards), the crossing, in any direction, of the line separating the pit entry and the track by a car entering the pit lane is prohibited. Looks cut n dried, question is how big the penalty?
Agreed, plenty of time left in the championship. Both teams are now employing team orders, it should be a good battle for the rest of the championship. Hoping the stupid 3 engine rule does not decide that championship of some dumb penalty, I want Seb and Ferrari to win on the track not because of reliability or a minor rules infraction.
Nothing will happen...read carefully: it only says you have to stay right when "entering" the pits but Lewis did not enter the pits.. Nothing said he has to stay to the left in this case in your rules. So the only fault is "track limits" but as he did not get an advantage I do not see a penalty coming... 5 seconds is what it should be...... For those saying the season is over, you are over reacting to one disappointing race. As to the cause, as SV stated the rears locked, but I wonder if it was harvest that caught him out in slippery conditions that led to the rears locking....
Well they have had 15 min to plead their case we should hear a “no further action required” ruling shortly........ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is the second time driver error has hurt Seb’s championship in a major way. Last month Seb over drove into the corner after a Safety Car restart and dropped from 2nd to 7th. Lewis lost two races to Safety Car deployment and poor team pit stratigy during virtual safety car. Lewis also lost one to a mechanical problem DNF. But it hasn’t been driver error. So far it’s been Seb’s driving skills that’s been the problem in his race against Lewis for the championship.
Looks like the Mercedes camp were called into a meeting for crossing the line.....let's see what happens.
I had blocked that from memory. Well, if he will man up he will beat Elton Ham-Dashian queen of all that is F1.
