Out with my 458 buddy, First drive of the season. Nearly 100 miles. No CEL's, no SDL's, no F1 issues, nothing, nadda. Car runs flawlessly - like a frigging swiss watch. It runs so good it scares me. Just an unbelievable machine.

Oh - bounced it off the rev limiter a couple times with belts done in 2012. ;)

The "like" is for the picture, not the situation ;) And certainly Jim you are clever enough to solve that problem :) Love that building, BTW :)

Haha, thanks Dave. Yes when I came home in my M3 and discovered the problem I put some wood ramps out. (but need to keep the car half way out in the street to get them in place and lined up.

Rather just wait until it's fixed :)

Those belts are ruined, you should re-time it using the bottom dead center method. o_O

Not taken today but rather on June 6, 1996 from Stephen Earle's car after he was hit and spun at the Ferrari Challenge Series race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal...

I've seen that before, those races are always fun to watch.
Dr. Earle was my neighbor when I was growing up. Definitely was a big reason why I got the ferrari bug lol
If I'm not mistaken, he had a video library of all those old challenge races. That be cool to convert to digital

"The Indefensible" nestles itself at The Shop in Seattle; its temporary home while the home garage gets some project work under way that endangers it in the way 2x4s being carried around endanger…cars you like.

If you find your way up to Seattle and want to stop by The Shop, just let me know. It's the new hub for car culture in town.

    :)

It's even been on its roof, Jaime.

I've been up and down and over and out
    And I know one thing
Each time I find myself flat on my face
I pick myself up and get back in the race.

Great! Used, repaired and taken care of. That's how it's supposed to be. Enjoy your car. :) People forget that on the early days the Ferraris were raced, crashed, repaired and enjoyed
    ;)

Thanks, Jaime. These Challenge cars were pretty much all hit during their racing years. When damaged, they were sent to the shop for repairs and body work and readied for their next race. My car is five different shades of yellow...

    ...maybe six.

The North American Ferrari Challenge Series was pretty benign compared to the European Series where professional drivers are allowed to compete...
