I see that autotrader and dupont registry lists them around 350k to 400k. Are these the actual going rate for Speciale? or in real life, cheaper?

    Thank you guys.

Really? It is common for dealers to post cars for $330k on AutoTrader and then ask for $400k when you call them? That's strange.

I only check pricing on cars that I would consider, which would be mint condition and mileage under 1,000.

Thank you for replies. So High 300 for <1k mileage and mint condition I assume? I'm new to F Cars, any options that are vital or deal breaker without for a car?

Speciale are going down in value but at a very slow pace. For reference, there was a time where 488s and Speciale were going for similar prices. Now look how far apart they are. I expect value to continue to creep down as Pistas come out. Supply is low because it appears most owners are not willing to sell right now. Only 25 or so cars for sale in US, which is very low since there’s probably 700-1000 of them stateside. Note that the MSRP of the cars can vary widely. The car starts under $300K, but most specs are around $330K MSRP. High spec MSRP cars can hit $360K or higher (once saw a $400K MSRP car).

Low MSRP cars with 5000 miles are more seem to be in the mid 300s. Opposite situation will be near $400K

No difference between 2014 and 2015, both should be out of original warranty or will be in a couple of months. Options that a lot of people look for are the lifter, parking sensors and camera, carbon engine bay, and a stripe of some sort.

I would suggest that the Speciales are going to hold strong if not INcrease in value short term. Why? Pistas are $400k-ish which will translate to $500-550k aftermarket adjustment. A Speciale for $400k or a Pista for $500k? There will probably be a trickle-down effect for Scuderias as well...

I just traded my Speciale in to my dealer and lost some money. My car was a higher mileage, low option car, but my dealer did say Speciale’s are slowly depreciating and are not fetching the asking prices stated. I think low mile high option cars will hold near $380-$400k while higher mile low option cars can be had for low to mid $300’s.

Time will tell where the market will go for the Pista, but my feeling is that Ferrari has set the Pista price to be closer to the market value. In other words, the Speciale was sold by Ferrari for a price lower than what the market was ready to pay, leaving space for initial second-hand price increase and sustained value.
Ferrari has significantly increased the price for the Pista, I do not think it will result in a further increase on the second hand market.

Keep in mind the Speciale was the last NA V8 car from Ferrari, which helps with values. That's not the same with a Pista. Throw in potential auto tariffs of 20% in the USA, and there she blows.

When the Pista orders go in and as they start to get delivered, some Speciale's will get traded. Its the same every time there is a model update. That will increase supply, which will result in lower prices. No secrets there.

    I agree with this.
I think the price gap will keep Speciale prices up, particularly because of the general positive opinion of the Speciale and the fact that is the last N/A V8.

Specials prices will continue to drop and so will the Pistas when the eventual replacement comes out. Fate of all modern Ferraris without the 1 of xxx plate especially those without PF designation. The last of doesn't matter as the SA was the last of release and it was an LE. If you are worried about losing money then you will watch the prices continue to drop and may drive your car less and not enjoy the great car you own. Do yourself a favor and forget about the money. If you can't then just sell or trade before end of summer. Shame, its a really great car and should be driven worry free.

Good point, the Scud is a great buy in the current market, $180-220k.

The 458 is now a better car at a lower price though - so it depends on what one is looking after (a car or a - somewhat risky - investment)...

Pista at anything over $30K over sticker is a pipe dream. Speciale never even got close to $100K over sticker and that was the last series of V8 NA car for Ferrari.

Asking prices are an entirely different story than actual transaction prices.

Depends on your market. Fewer cars will always drive the price higher. Then add the other 250 k odd tax , for $1,750,000 minimum or $1,300,000 USD. tHEY

CERTAINLY WERENT THAT WHEN BOUGHT NEW

Speciale are around $1,000,000 AUD or about $740,000 USD

IMHO, the Speciale is the greatest modern Ferrari. It's the last NA 8. Like all cars, the value will fluctuate but I predict they will go up and up. Look at SCUD's and 360 CS.
