After seeing several replicas in the "Danish Collection", it got me thinking. Since we all have limited funds, what one car would you replicate?

    I would do a P4 with a 550 v12 in it..converted to ITB's with motec management. That would be a blast.

restomod db5 with modern Aston running gear. (I've seen the David Brown speed back gt build on Jag chassis with Jag motor but its looks aren't quite right to me)

I like the replicas by Bailey for the 917 .. and or Norwood's P3's... those are just sexy cars.

I'd like a continuation Superformance GT40 Mk I with an aluminum small block and fuel injection. I could drive it to COTA and back. Also one of those new Lancia Stratos replicars with the modern motor and management, and yes, I'd get the AC option because I live in Texas.

    None.

I wouldn't waste my time nor energy on a replica

I can't think of a point that I'd spend any money on a fake car.

Agree. But if I had the funds, and it was technically feasible, I'd jam a V12 in my Cali and that'd be the last car I'd need, want or drive...T

Not at all accurate, just a fun toy. :)

Exclude the Ferrari badges, of course.

I would not in any way support any of those who are cannibalizing authentic and genuine factory original cars to make a replica of a more desirable vehicle out of. That being said I think Superformamce is doing really cool stuff. I like the continuation thing they do. It’s it own thing.

I built a 427 Cobra replica and spent 12 years enjoying it. For many years I have thought that a great kit would be my Cobra chassis' 91" wheelbase stretched 3 1/2" to match the SWB's and using a SWB body with enlarged fenders to accommodate today's wide wheels and tires. The SWB has the timeless brutish look of a 427 Cobra.
