Replacing Auto button on F430

The 430 and 599 rubber buttons are the same - we have confirmed it.

I don't believe the 4C are but I'm not 100% certain.

The rubber buttons are a problem - even if new, they will fail again. Ferrari changed the design to hard plastic buttons (which still get sticky, and we can refinished them).

The best option at this time is to replace the rubber button assembly with the hard button assembly. We have procured the parts for a few customers.

 

CMC sold it again. I have no idea where it is. It was heart breaking to see the interior that fouled up. It was perfect when I traded it in. Sad, very sad.

 

Did someone ever found the fix for this? Got my melted in the high temps of Texas!

Already did however, he does not have a solution for the rubber button. He only can refinish the plastic ones.

 

We have reverse engineered the hard plastic button / switch assemblies and have 1st round of prototypes complete sitting on my desk. We are close to ordering injection molds and getting the project kicked off. Our solution will be a non stick coating on hard plastic buttons that will be factory correct and permanent. My best guess is we are 3 months from having product in hand. These projects take time to do properly.

 

I would contact Robby at StickynoMore. I believe he has alrady found the solution to this and has them available. Probably a better price to

FYI I have an AUTO button (the rubbery type) that I would like to sell. I have one, brand new, that I purchased and is wrong for my car (mine takes the hard type button) and I cannot return it $100. I paid $125
