    There is a reprint of a test from 1983 in the current issue of Classic Cars: Countach 5000 S, Ferrari BB 512i and Porsche 911 Turbo. The Countach was the fastest with a measured top speed of 276.9 km/h. Interesting comments as well from Lamborghini engineer Giulio Alfieri with regards to the upcoming development of an injection system for the Countach due to tougher emission requirements. He clearly had an affection for the carburetors.

    Alfieri tried quite often to adopt an injection system on engines he designed. He was nerver REALLY successful before he worked for Lamborghini....

    The last one might be a man called John imaged with the car and his dog by his polo field.

    Perhaps some of those owners in the past 16 years were dealers who purchased it for the purpose of reselling it?

    If I am not mistaken this Countach has been owned by Messrs Loughran > Amari > Collins for the purpose described above.

    Rare, I believe just 3 or so were made in this color.

    I also think this Countach went to Qatar and is the same LP400S S3 I've posted earlier in the thread showing it abandoned there and in need of some TLC
