Those front parking sensors ain't pretty. No wonder they are missing on so many launch cars...
doubt many of us will view the car from the bottom up. our dogs might, but they won't care as soon as their tongues are hanging out the window from the inside at speed
Pardon me but those are some silly unscientific misconceptions about colours. Pink is feminine we can agree, but yellow? Come on... And green chosen by bad drivers... well that's just your saying, never ever heard similar before.
Definitely exciting to see new production cars, whether I like the liveries or not. Although, I'm still at a loss as to how the owner chose the matt black plastic pieces over carbon fiber.
It seems to me everyone has their favorite and also less favorite colors. The only thing I've learned about color, at least for me, I have learned while I have my preferences, I should never say never, because it really depends on the shape, and scale of the car. But my preference is for blue
Agreed! this guy choose to keep the outside standard having some parts in carbon fiber (mandatory) and some matte plastic, I really don't like like this.
my dealer (whom I trust) told me to order the side skirts (not their name) NOT in CF. I guess that area is highly prone to damage and suggested that I would be better off with non-CF. I followed his direction. Everything else on the outside is CF.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and i don't back away from mine. 99% of females will quote yellow as a very feminine color on a car and you or I can't change that fact. That's not to say a male shouldn't choose yellow or any other color, but it doesn't change a women's perception about what they see as being a feminine color. And to suggest Pink is basically the only female favorite is just plain silly. Insofar as green cars go I've seen enough incidents and accidents over my time to form a very solid and conclusive opinion, but feel free to disagree. Understandably those driving green cars would refute that, which is perfectly fine by me. I just take the blessing I'm able to easily identify problematic drivers on the road. And FWIW, those who I've shared my observation with have ALL come back at one point to comment just how right I am on that. Not that I need further affirmation.
Tri-Color Yellow is stunning. Latest TOFM (Ferraris official mag that all of you with orders should be getting) has a Yellow 812 and its just plain amazing. So, yellow,...green....whatever.
Your wife's thoughts are the same as mine there Shack - said Pista has to be Red as first choice. That all said, she was quite specific in saying that if it were her sports car it would be yellow as her first choice - she said "being a female". Who am I to argue? She has also banned me from getting white. Green is completely off the table! She will get no argument from me on that one .

Pista really looks odd without a stripe.....these pics confirm it. The stripe ties the design and accents together.
It almost looks naked without the stripe- BUT- that could be because the stripe has been featured on nearly every car we have seen so far. I say if they offer no stripe as a choice, and if Rossocorsa1 prefers it that way, then good for him. I love the straightforward silver wheels and red calipers. Whats the inside like? As to colors and accidents, the only thing I have read on that somewhere a while ago is some experts said brighter colors are safer because they are easier to see- so white, red, yes yellow, these are easier to see. Dark colors like black are harder to see. A color like green could be bright or dark, so I guess it really depends. I know a fellow with a green car and I think very highly of him and I am willing to bet he is a great driver so I am not going to say green cars= dangerous drivers. Although I admit this is a small sample size!
It does look naked without the stripe primarily due to the s duct area which needs that detail I think. However I wonder if if in person it won't look naked because pictures dont do it justice in 2 dimensions.
From those who have seen the car in person, I’ve been told the aggressive style (particularly the hood) are very dominant. I look forward to finally seeing the Pista in a few weeks at Pebble Beach. Also, I suspect the “naked” visual that some have mentioned is really because of what we have been trained to see these past few months. If most 488 GTB’s or Enzo’s or LaFerrari’s had a powerful stripe, we would likely think those that didn’t seemed “naked”. But, few of those cars do, so naturally stripes would seem out of place on them. I personally always have preferred a cleaner look. I’m also guessing that the aggression of the S duct will have very strong visual presence in person without the striping. But, I won’t know for certain until I see the car. For this reason, I’m waiting to finalize my order in MODIS until I’ve settled on my preferences.
Not only you will see Pista at Pebble Beach but you are so lucky that you will see the Pista Aperta.......but with stripes Please take a lot of pics to share with us.....
