I think he's a waste of time and money. What do you guys think?
Well you've lost out on Danny Ric, so he's probably the best available since LCH is staying with Merc for another two years and I don't think anyone at Ferrari want's Alonso back.
I think there is no ground for the question: who else on the same level (let's say "top tier") is available, now that Daniel has signed with Renault? Rgds
Vettel is 2nd in the drivers ranking, which isn't bad . He is the best Ferrari can get ... at the moment Alternative top drivers are now all contracted.
It is a shame... Ferrari won every single championship in the last decade...until Seb joined them, must be all his fault Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Elton’s fans need to pretend Seb has no fans and that even ferrari don’t want him....... pathetic..... the one person we know ferrari DONT want is elton..... that makes me very very very happy!
Yes right, Seb lost the WDC because of 1 crash, so why not get Max... oh wait! Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
I don't even like Seb and I think he's holding up his end of the deal...sadly, even though I'm a kimi fan, I can't say the same for him. He's been consistently trounced by Seb and has been relegated as the #2 driver. If anything we can't have Kimi for another 2 years...we need someone else to be taking bigger points off the table from the mercedes drivers.
Back in the day he was the only one available, so that's the end of the story. The problem now is that he's blocking other alternatives. I don't think that he's got veto power, but Ferrari knows that two big names in the team could bring problems and would be too expensive. That's why I think that developing that Leclerc kid is very important.
He's made more than one mistake this season. At times the red mist gets to him and I don't think he thinks big picture when that happens. This was the case at Red Bull and it's continued to be the case at Ferrari. He's still more than in the running for the WDC this season but Ferrari cannot afford mistakes like Mercedes can and Vettel continues to make them. He's a great driver but cracks have shown last season and this season. Outside of Alonso I don't know who you could replace him with currently that would be available, and there's no guarantee that either party wants that to happen.
Sorry but I do not think that Hockenheim has anything to do with "cracking under pressure" or "red mist".... Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
More to do with a wet track and a mix of oil and other crap falling out of the Williams as far as I can tell.... hopefully some of these desk jockeys can go out in their Ferrari’s tonight, cover a road with oil and water, and send us the videos in they make of their controlling their car cornering on the lovely mixture at anything like racing speed....... course, most of em probably have to go buy a ferrari first
Ferrari need to bring LeClerc in 2019 or 2020 with the understanding that he will shadow Vettel and Vettel WILL help him and he will take the helm at Ferrari when Vettel retires.
Certainly not Red Mist moment but absolutely Pressure. Why else do you drive off the road while leading a Grand Prix? 19 other drivers didn't drive off the track at that spot. He was pushing the car too much due to Hamilton clipping 3 seconds per lap off the lead.
This is their best bet. Ferrari needs someone fresh, and Lec is it. Vet has two, maybe three years left at Ferrari. I have a feeling Gio will be getting a seat at Sauber soon to do the same they're doing with Lec now. Its just too bad Gro isn't performing to make the HAAS ascension clear to Ferrari.
Max was driving on the same track and he said it could have happened to everybody...Seb was the first there with possible oil on track (at least this was reported by independent sources and not his team manager ) and the rest was warned by yellow flags and a safety car. I do not see Seb pushing there, he was not even very fast...And I doubt that Seb was told anything about Lewis´ lap times...So I do not see anything that backs you point..
