Hi Guys, Sorry if there was a thread like this in the past, but I hope to hear/share about cool/hidden features of the car. Majority of us probably don't read the manual cover to cover, I will start: 1) Hold down the option/view button below the vol knob defaults the Nav/Radio screen to a speedometer 2) You can enable the front parking sensor (if you have that option) to be turned on automatically at low speed
Not so "cool," but my dealer offered an important tip: Keep it plugged in. It keeps the electronic gremlins away. Also, in order to program the homelink with a "rolling" type garage door code, I followed the manual and fiddled around for about an hour. Then I learned I needed to push the lift motor's "learn" button one more time (twice in the cycle) before programming the mirror button.
It’s in the settings through one of the side screens... just scroll through them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine was set to off, I had to to turn it on manually when I needed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This might be well known, but my wife figured out that you can take out the key fob holder revealing an additional (small) cup holder. Now I can carry two shots of espresso
You can set speed warnings in settings and also disable them. Only thing I can think of atm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh if you are hard on the brakes and hold the left paddle the car will automatically downshift at the best times Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you have the premium JBL hifi system, there is a setting to turn on quantum logic processing which makes a pretty big difference in sound quality. My car was set to off by default.
I tried to find the parking sensor at low speed setting and it doesn't exist on my settings menu. Found it in the manual but it's not on the settings screen. I wonder if there is a software update to add this?
Also can't find how to enable the brake lights flashing under hard braking. I don't know if it's on or off.
Which drop-down menu is this in, because I don't see anything related in my left TFT display? Perhaps cars in the United States do not require this feature; whereas, cars in other countries do?
I’m in the us and have this setting. It’s the setting all the way to the right when you click through the different categories using the right arrow key. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know it is the right-most option in the left TFT ... the "Settings" icon. What I meant was, within that folder, which sub-folder can you turn off the turn signals under hard braking? I opened every folder and sub-folder but did not see anything intuitively labeled as such. I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to operate the 488 because RaceMX-M3 is asking the same question as I am.
This bothered me too. I'm pretty sure this is a 'non-selectable' feature. The brake lights ALWAYS flash on hard breaking. This was confirmed by my dealer. You won't find anything in "Settings." I think its a great feature!
My understanding that under hard braking it is not the blinkers that flash, instead it is the LED lights in the center of the diffuser that flash.
