So US$177,000 and ~18,000 miles. I’d say about right price for miles based on my personal recent market experience. The CS market is obviously hugely dependent on miles. Sub 10k mile cars are selling for $230k range, while cars with closer to 20k miles are going for $170-180k range. Roughly $50k for those 10-15k miles.

Which - of course - says that you are going to pay to drive these things. Which - of course - is why so many owners barely drive their cars (even 20k miles at age 14 is less than 1500 miles per year. 5k miles is only ~300 miles per year and 10k miles is ~600 miles per year). Ferrari’s sure make great garage art and ego enhancers.

All true. I drive mine anyways. It may not be going up in value but it's not going down either. So fun to drive.

Wait some more years... things are gonna be very different. Of course the very low mileage cars will always be offered at skyhigh prices. Untill people will realize that a 40.000 miles CS , which has always had correct maintenance, drives as good as new. Then prices for that category will go up too. Look at the 246 Dino now. Practically nobody cares about the fact that many are close to the 100.000 miles mark, and are those much cheaper than the 30.000 miles Dinos? Not really!
    Patience, patience....

But I admit to find it regretful that, at this moment, a little too many Stradale's are offered for sale. This is still the first generation of speculators (= NON passionate) sellers, trying to make fast and easy money. Hopefully soon 98 % of all CS will be in hands of real lovers, so there won 't be any for sale! Keep it like that for about 5 years, and you'll see skyrocket those prices at the RM or Bonhams in 2025!

are we still really talking about speculators???? the market has been strong where other cars have been soft and thats due to speculators? id say weak hands have been shaken out looking at other marques and models.

There have been more than a few posts lately, myself included, about people who ventured out to other models/marques and came back to a CS or Scud. I think i’d be inclined to agree with Strad. I do t think these will ever be million dollar cars but, maybe $350-400k cars by 2030. jmo

I think there 's still pretty much speculating around. Too many of those "dealers" and "traders" really don't have to sell to have an income. They'd better back off and turn up in 4 or 5 years with the same car... I'd like to see what the CS market would do if there were maximum 10 cars for sale worldwide.
So....better wait, and be patient. I know it's granny style, but it pays off. :D

To raise the demand (= make a car more desirable, valuable), you gotta lower the supply, it's no rocket science.

Even a Mondial (which I like) would appreciate considerably would there be only ten of them for sale worldwide...

The track is where these cars have the most fun. 14 years and 2K miles and a bunch of service is really pathetic. It may be worth a few bucks more, but nothing can replace the memories, pleasure and fun that actually using the car as intended brings.

I backed out of this car (withdrew my deposit 24 hrs later) when I discovered this was the one with the audio mods and leather dash replacement per the registry. The car was exceptionally clean and passed a PPI. I could not get over the mods and what effect that may on resale down the road if I decide to sell 10-15 yrs out which was the intent. Wanting to get into this market, was that the prudent thing to do? That is what my gut told me to do or is that a "dont care" in the long run. BTW- the car was $235 so a big deal for me to swallow if it is not totally original. Appreciate everyone/s comments

I guess one way to look at it is my dash/leather doesn't look day 1 new anyways. Some day it will need to be replaced. I'd rather have nice new leather and dash than old ratty. I don'/t think it's reasonable to assume all CS's will always have their original leather or that it should ding the value if it's replaced as long as it's replaced "as original".

But, for $235K you have a lot of options available to you. Buy what you feel good about.

The dash replacement is no big deal but the speaker mods look hideous IMO
