If the car is good, then it is "make". If the car is bad, it is "break". It's that simple.

 

+1 the overt influence of the top 3 but mainly Ferrari and Mercedes is the issue. Im happy they make fast F1 cars and on occasion actually provide racing. Is that enough anymore lol??? Im serious. Its not enough. Take the paint off the grid that they do not occupy and call it what it is in reality = DTM Open-wheel. The other cars are the 'passing' nothing else.

Yes of course the other 'teams' should be faster but I dont have enough money to make them faster and no one else is donating either LOL

 

This is why driving in F1 isn't so attractive anymore, unless you are in the 3 top teams, IMO.
It's better to race at the front in other series, than at the back in F1, I think.

Formula 1 should not add more entries until it makes all teams financially stable enough to avoid problems like Force India going into administration, according to Haas.

Force India has finished fourth in the constructors' championship for the last two seasons but was entered into administration prior to the Hungarian Grand Prix to try to protect the team against rising debts.

Haas is the newest of the 10 teams on the F1 grid, having joined in 2016. FIA president Jean Todt said last year there was the chance to add new entries as early as 2019, but later admitted there had been no "serious" approaches.

Haas team boss Gunther Steiner said Force India is "a team which deserves to be here" and hopes it finds a sensible, long-term backer.

"I hope it's the right people, that's the only thing," he said.

"Somebody who buys it [who] is here to stay, and all the people keep their jobs and [F1 can] keep on going with 10 teams in the future.

"You can race with 18 cars but I think 10 teams is a very healthy number.

"I'd rather have 20 strong cars than somebody who shouldn't be here. I think we should look after the 10 teams we have.

 

Good for the team (even though I have to admit it is the one I like least) the families: 400 employees 600 children whose fathers and mothers have just had their jobs saved...
So Strollie to take one seat and one current driver to lose it and almost certainly head to Haas, Romain is in trouble...and so is Williams...
All dominoes will fall in place now interesting to see how it pans out...

 

How long will the 'consortium' last.......the obvious question.

 

You guys might remember that I said one month or so ago in the Stroll thread that Lawrence would buy Force India.

 

Mercedes, Stroll and Perez’ plan came full circle. Hope at least they don’t get the prize money as opposed by Renault, Mclaren and Williams. Start to think they’re right about Mercedes becoming too powerful now

As long as Lawrence wants Lance to have a seat in F1. Or until Toto begs Lance to drive for MB.

 

So, how is this going to be called: Force Stroll? Or Please, not again, Stroll.

 

It's a good job for Force India that Lance Stroll was interested in motor racing rather than tennis ...
The team may never had a saviour.
I am concerned though âbout this consortium, formed of weatlthy investors with not much experience of F1. How long will they stay interested in shouldering an ailing team?

 

Saving Force India will kill Williams

 

Possibly, they have been terrible this year, they actually make McLaren look good. No Martini and no Stroll next year, just some Russian money, clock could be ticking...

 

Possibly 2 years then.

 

Will Stroll move to Force India before the summer break ends or does everyone hold position until the end of the season?

 

As you say earlier on, being an Italian F1 driver for Ferrari...perhaps the best way to end his long career, save for winning with the team of course. I don't think he has any regrets.

And he scored a still running WEC career with it...with Ferrari!

I believe that if Lance Stroll had a minimal chance of being considered a respected driver after winning the Euro F3, now this is history. His father arrogance is to blamed for that.

 

You might be spoiled when your dad buys you your own F1 team.
