Wife and I are in the UK and we rented a car. Our discussion went like this:
Me: What are you concerned about?
Her: We’re driving on the other side of the road.
Me: It’s like driving a boat- I do that from the right hand side. Besides, I’m a pilot, I can handle it.
Her: You got air sick on the way over here.
Me: That’s because I was in the last row. I’m supposed to be in the FRONT.

I found that if you're sitting on the right side of the car, driving on the left doesn't seem strange. You do have to think twice before turning at an intersection, though. I always rent an automatic over there so I don't have to shift gears with my left hand!

Try the manual next time. After only renting automatic RHD cars I tried a manual this year. It's surprisingly natural feeling. I got in and just shifted without thinking.

What is this "automatic" of which you speak?
