i have become obsessed with this show. i love watching these accomplished chefs under pressure. i love how creative they are - very inspiring. and i think it is fair - i can usually tell who is going to win. and, bobby flay is just a fantastic chef - have been to a few of his restaurants and was impressed. anybody else?
You like the contrived **** talking and other antics? I don't mind the show, but don't really like it. I miss cooking shows that were not competitions. I just want to watch a chef showing me how to cook stuff without all the other crap.
Yes I love it because its obviously just for goofs. its the same way my friends and I **** talk to each other. I love that none of it is taken too seriously. See im not interested at all in learning to cook. So the type of show you describe holds no interest to me.
and what isnt these day ! i also like shows where chefs tell me how to do it. i used to watch barefoot contessa, but my favorite is jamie oliver. he does a great job of explaining and doing things simply - and i believe his dishes are healthier. the other show that is fun is chopped - not all of them since they have spun off a half dozen variations on that theme that are kind of repetitive and stupid. but the basic chopped is interesting in how they handle the random ingredients thrown at them. i have become quite adept at making a decent meal out of what would appear to be a nearly empty larder with random unrelated ingredients, so this challenge appeals to me.
Stream audio on my iPhone with the NFL app. I used to watch Food TV religiously, but I was hungry all the time! [emoji2] T
My pref as well. I like learning new techniques, getting new recipes, cookware demos, etc. I think when reality TV type shows took over the channel is when I stopped watching...T
