Euro cars get 7 more HP, no mouse belts, and a cleaner looking(in my opinion) side marker. Hard time getting them into California, though.
You should pull the trigger! Prices have softened since I bought mine, but even if I knew they were going to, I'm not sure it would've been worth the wait. When the car goes to the shop, I pine enough as it is. No one wants to pay more than market price, true. I was definitely willing to pay more for a 512 TR, though.
I bookmarked this car in early May at 149,000 Euros, now it is 119,000 Euros, that's asking $138,000. '93 512 TR, Yellow, about 20,000 miles, says 1 owner, German 1st delivery, not clear on service history in description. https://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/ferrari-512tr-v12-428ps-abs-top-zustand-32-000km-starnberg/209530956.html
There isn’t a red one in the 150’s -160’s though, they have too little mileage to be had for that price that’s the problem ; next one i see in that range i hope to scoop it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This car was sold yesterday at 78,400 including premium (70,000 + 12%) The description doesn’t really say much but you can read between the lines 1988-1998 history unknown (fair enough) “At that point the car had just under 30k” ....”since then.... 400 miles a year” (400x20=8,000 so my guess is the car has a little bit under 38,000 miles) At 33,000 (so 5 years ago but I am sure way more than 5 years ago) a timing belt service and 1000 miles later a transmission rebuilt (differential or shaft failure???) and a clutch. “Front air dam was repainted” ok maybe just a few scratches “Embossed luggage” that is a plus “This vehicle may only be sold to an out of state resident for use outside California” I am sure the car lacks catalytic converters not a biggie but also hurts it’s resale value for a couple of thousand. I found this ad from August 2016, the car been sitting for those 2 years (11 miles since then) and they wanted 195k back then when the market was at the top Very curious to see for how much it goes because I am SURE the car had so many offers but nowhere to their asking price, and now it is going without reserve. http://dirtyoldcars.com/ferrari-testarossa-1988-oro-chiaro-metallizzato/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not a strong sell at all... Even if u add service and pain the skirts that’s barely 85k at the door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Off topic diablo prices are still very strong for same money and slightly less can get an early Ford gt I’m thinking go that direction
no....$70K. Buyers fees certainly do NOT count in the valuation of a car. Only fooling yourself if u think that is the case. What if the auction company charged 4%? Then the "value" of the car would be $72,800. Transaction costs do NOT get factored into the valuation of a car for anyone other than the buyer. And what about the seller? If he gets charged 10% is the car now only worth $63K (70K less 10%)? Of course not. The market put a valuation of $70K on the car. Period
