Edit: The $5,005,000 is with buyer's premium correct? So $4.55 without? I mixed up your estimate range they gave prior to auction with the final sale price, but I think I remember it being 4.55 watching the stream live prior to the premium added on.

So the market values a 275 GTB Comp at more than twice the Admirals Mondial? Seems bonkers to me. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
RM Sotheby's: Very early Outside Bonnet Latch 1961 LHD Flat Floor S1 3.8 Jaguar E Type Fixed Head Coupe hammered sold for $650,000 plus BP. A record for a Coupe?
Amazing, yet I thought for some reason it could go higher. Also amazing to me was that the bidding didn't go higher for the Matsuda 288.
Surprisingly dull auction. It never hit the electricity everyone was expecting. Still, exciting but not the price many thought.
Should have fixed the nose. I found it rather underwhelming to see the bidding. Opened at 35, stalled momentarily at 38 (the Violati PB price from a few summers ago) and then steadily climbed in small increments until flattening out at 44MM. One has to wonder if there wasn't more money out there if it had been sold privately*. *Just my view from the uninformed cheap seats. For all I know it may have already been shopped privately without success. Oh well. Successful auction for buyer and seller in my book. Entertaining to watch.
