It's both incomplete & inaccurate, for example the Evoluzione was a carbureted Downdraft.

I think the Countach threads here on FChat are the best resources anywhere in the world for the uninitiated, just read them and you'll really be well-educated on the Countach.

While we are on this subject...

As far as I can tell engine codes consisted of L for Lamborghini, two digits for the capacity plus one digit for the version eg L240, L302 etc. I know nothing about Countach engine codes and whether they conform to this protocol but possibly the QV was L507...

My pleasure, kudos to Dugan Specialties who have a very high standard, this is the 2nd total restoration of a Countach he has completed after our Mimran Downdraft, and I'll be sure to have Margaret photograph both cars together with your blessing.

Just great to see the Countach as a model being shown the respect it deserves by way of all these total authentic restorations faithful to original spec, I love it.

You really ought to see these cars that Dugan is restoring in person, they're on another level compared to what pictures can convey.

An understandable sentiment, but in reality, they are never too nice to drive, that was the whole point of the restoration, look at it this way, if you took delivery of a brand new Countach from Sant Agata, you wouldn't say it's too nice to drive, you'd drive it! We drive ours often, Kidston drives all his restored cars, that's the reward for the restorative process.

It won't be long before you'll be experiencing it for yourself, meanwhile when Chris is finished with his fine-tuning, with your permission I'd like to get behind the wheel and offer my thoughts as well.

He works extremely hard over long hours, obsessing about every detail, I get multiple calls a day some days and we discuss all manner of things, it's little wonder the final product is so good.

FWIW I think he enjoys restoring the Lamborghinis better than the Ferraris.
