As I say to my Italian friends. Calc in cullo ai tedeschi!!!! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
They all had the same tires and warm-up, so can't say LH lacked there relatively. Look at their placement entering Eau Rouge and then the exit. LH may have lifted slightly there, but that goes to show that Seb did not. Also I think Seb may have lifted slightly after passing LH to increase the chance that one of the FI cars would nab him as well.
Very beautiful.... But I will say it in American... Let's go kick some Mercedes ASS! It's about FREAK'N time!!!
Merc cheated???? Or maybe Ferrari playing some mind games on them with only one week to Monza.... https://www.planetf1.com/news/ferrari-noticed-mercedes-flexing-rear-wing/
Heard about this.....the FIA and Charlie will look the other way of course. The "flexi-wing" has to travel more than 5mm to deem it illegal from what I read. I've seen a twitter feed showing the rear wing "flexing." (very minimal).
IMO, Ferrari is playing a game with Merc trying to distract them and using the FIA to waste time or maybe even modify the wing before Monza.
A genuine issue, but who wants to bet the FIA won’t dare upset their masters at merc and brush it under the table, just like every other time merc were caught cheating or their drivers blatantly needed a penalty
This was neither meant pro or contra Lewis...but as all the cars are different on the tires it might be an explanation. The biggest factor certainly was the tow. About Lewis lifting: if I remember right Lewis lifted last year at the re-start on purpose to get Seb closer and forcing him to lift as well to avoid rear-ending the Mercedes, obviously this year it did not work that way
Honestly I rather have the precaution of Halo rather than non. Different angles show that it does help. And anyway even if didn't actually stop the fatal injury the force would of cause an injury which I rather thankful halo is there to stop that. Halo is here to stay.
I seem to remember back in the days when Ferrari was dominating that many people complained how the FIA bent over backwards to favor them. My guess is that the FIA bends any way the wind blows and our own biases fill in the conspiracy theories.
Thanks to the guys on the pit wall, mechanics, his masseuse, etc. You see, a pro like Seb realizes that a team wins together, loses together. Others on the grid, perhaps not so much... T
https://www.racefans.net/2018/08/28/raikkonens-radio-messages-reveal-disagreement-over-rear-wing-damage/ Kimi's radio transcript. That thing really was ****ed.
I think it’s a little one-upsmanship after LH’s “tricks” comment. Bottom line is Ferrari has power to equal Merc but are much more efficient at laying down the power and getting the tires to work optimally. Merc hasn’t figured out their tire issues yet (not to Ferrari’s degree) so they’re clearly on the back foot. I don’t foresee any miracle cure for something that has plagued them since testing so I stick with my belief that Ferrari mistakes are the only thing stopping the Scuderia. When I saw those jgonzales photos from winter testing with the Merc tires absolutely shredded, that seemed like a serious vulnerability. It may stay close, but this is Ferrari’s championship to lose.
And it looks like Ferrari is really trying(to lose)--another cock-up in qualifying kept Kimi off the front row of the grid. Spa should have been a Ferrari 1-2.
At least Arrivabene took the complete blame in that. No passing the buck. And RB also had the same problem.
