Yes but u forget to say u bought a CLASSICHE at an official ferrari dealer. Not exactly living on the edge like a BaT’s purchase ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i agree with u man whats going on were agreeing way too much lol that red book did it for me iknow some really dont care about it but for me makes the car even more special
I was unsophisticated when I bought mine at auction without PPI. Do I regret the overall auction experience... no. Would I ever do it again to buy a Ferrari... nope.
Market is soft I get it so I have made a decision. I am officially putting my car for sale for 70k Anyone willing to keep it can submit their check to Ferralc auctions LLC A brand new auction house that specializes in perfectly market valued testarossas and that also accepts Buy it now options so you don’t need to lose time bidding So if anyone wants to have a perfect example for 70k you just need to contact them, they have the title ready and they only charge 30k commission. But at 70k is the best bang for your buck!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sucks u had a bad exprience.for me its an amazing drive and style and looks .maybe the new owner of ur tr will have a better exprience .i bought a 98 diablo sv a while back ago never drove it and when i did i prefered the vt awd version and sold it and got a f430 spider no regretbut only regret was damn a couple of years later it went 200% in price
I think if I was better educated, I would have had a better experience. However, I don't regret it. It sucked and hurt when I wrote the checks, but that was at the moment. I love cars and Ferraris, and have made some great friendships through it all, so it's all good. Still meeting great people even after selling the TR. For example, I met Fchatter "raysur" in person yesterday. Great guy!
That mono on BaT is a new low as far as Im concerned. Even with $20k into it, it will be a sub $100k mono with 20k miles. If only it had original paint! But then again if it did it would have gone for more.
This is the problem with electronic dependency cars. When they're new, they're great and everything works properly. As I have bought older newer and newer exotics, I'm experiencing more and more problems and expenses. I think all the older truly mechanical Ferraris from the Testarossa on down will stand the test of time. Newer, and I include the 512 tr ( electronic ecus ) will have more and more problems from just the difficulty of getting the electronic parts. I say from the F1 360 forward will be considered the disposable Ferraris....cheap to buy but more and more expensive to maintain. Therefore will just change hands as the bills mount up. I could not agree more! Here is my 'stable.' My wife always tells me the 512TR looks like a 'real' Ferrari. Of course the 488GTB is more fun on the track. Bob Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good memory! Yes, it was ... sort of a test ... glad I didn't sell it. For pricing reference I do have two local offers of $165K and $175K ... and this car has 61K miles on the odometer! (but no rain, snow or gloom of night). Bob http://www.isquare.com/personal_pages/ras-hardware.htm
Very cool! You don't realize how big a 488 is until it sits next to a Ferrari that was considered "big" back in the day lol Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
great collection of ferraris how has the tr treated you with all the miles and major hic ups? if u dont need to sell dont you will miss the car
Everyone tells me to keep the 512TR! My 'excuse' for thinking of selling is to get something else ... but what? It has been very little trouble over the last two decades plus ... of course there is the expensive 'engine out' services but - hey - it's a Ferrari! No failures to speak of. Only 'issue' was the sticky paint on the console which was an easy replacement. I've driven it a lot including some 2000+ miles trips which were unforgettable! Everybody wants a picture or has a question or two. What fun! Regards, Bob
I am the buyer of this Testarossa. I saw it initially when it was listed and assumed it was going to go north of $100k due to the other auction having a reserve. I immediately dismissed the auction. A buddy of mine sent me a text 20 mins before it ended. I bid without giving it a second thought basically assuming that there was a reserve. No worries I'm glad. I would never ever ever buy a Ferrari with a 'fresh major'. I'd much rather buy it and do the major at a mechanic I trust. Anyone who owns Ferraris knows when it comes time to service they always fine ''while we are here" items. If they are getting serviced for sale the owner will politely say to do the major and wrap it up . Then the new owner has time bombs on their hands. I've been in touch with the seller and got all the info. The previous BAT auction was the same car, different broker. Prior broker was not realistic and there was a much higher reserve on this auction but they dropped it at the last minute to get a sale. For what I paid - single mirror Rosso car....can't go wrong.
