There are several places that sell 1x1 4d carbon fiber wrap. I have seen this applied before and I couldn't tell it was a wrap until someone told me. On that lower sill which will have the beaten out of it that is probably the way to go.

So wait, just to be clear, the Personalization Pack is merely a grouping of other options already in that list? With no added value of getting the pack vs. selecting the options individually?

All the pricing is almost 68% higher than Euro pricing. Multiply the Euro list by 1.68 and you will get same pricing on options. They did not throw in the Personalization Pack for free like they did in first brochure they sent out. Nicely specced car will be north of 450!

Since the PPAC is mandatory in Europe (no choice of not selecting it), there is no need to encourage its selection by an added value...

Not sure how you get that 68% more, french price (with 20% VAT included though) is Euro 317K (price including PPAC). A decently speeced Pista will be close to Euros 400K.

So a Pista will be 60% higher than a similarly equipped GTB, but with a less than 10% bump in performance.

Welcome to the new Ferrari and no thanks.

Last night I say a just released You Tube on a specific Custom Senna. Personally i don't like it but to the point im not an avid Carbon liker. However this car had a solid colour ( Porsche dark green ) and lots of carbon. It really did look nice because the carbon was matt.

Cant help to think if all the exterior non painted parts were matt it would look really good. Xpel has a matt film also. The put off to me has actually been the Gloss Finish of the carbon.

    Just a comment

That’s what I thought but Road and track said it’s 13 and other publications say 17. Does someone have an actual options list with pricing they can share?

you are right to highlight that this is pricing "as of last week," as many of us slated for delivery next year will pay more with annual price increase

at what point does the ferrari algorithm suggest that pricing is becoming obscene for unlimited 8 cyl. cars. While we can afford them, adding sales tax, creeps this "unlimited," unnumbered car towards half a million dollars. i am admittedly part of the problem, since i will buy one, but have misgivings over the seemingly unending upward price spiral. supply and demand will ultimately reach a tipping point and one of us will shout from the rafters, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" Another will chime, "have you no decency, sir"! In the end, we will still buy these magnificent, sexy beasts. Where did we go right?

While I don’t disagree, what’s obvious is that Ferrari seems to have made a decision the eat-up as much of the initial secondary market profit as possible for themselves. I’m guessing this was a very calculated decision based on them being a public company with limited capacity capabilities. They’ve been leaving a lot of money on the table for awhile. I would guess the 488 successor will have a base price near the Pistas. If you look at LaFerrari’s on the secondary market, don’t be surprised if the successor supercar is priced at $4-5 million. I think that is highly probable. I can’t honestly say a blame them.

Maybe....this is assuming that the secondary market won't pay the same amount over what they would have had the MSRP been less.

The difference, however, is that laF is limited, Pista is not. agree that the secondary market has been too kind to ltd. eds., but hey, leave the rest of us to buy an unlimited 8 cyl. without feeling gouged. No one likes a poke in the eye for hardly any reason at all.

I absolutely love the Pista and the cosmetics of it but the difference in price from the 488 GTB seems excessive. I know there is some significant differences but overall the performance of the two cars is similar for the most part. I too agree that the price would be better justified if it was a limited car.

I could have bought a Pista but found the price excessive so I got back my deposit.
Maybe Ferrari will not consider me as a target customer in the future, I cannot blame them for that if they have customers willing to pay that much.
And maybe I have to wait for a market turnaround, and in the meantime, enjoy the 488 GTB and spend my money differently.

a respectable position some of us may be too weak to take rather than indulging in a more primal urge to just buy the damn thing (and i just took delivery of my second 488 spider yesterday)

Don't forget about having to add a Lusso to the mix. If the Pista prices out ~$450k+ then the price alone will keep it "limited."
