The original FF and f12 wheels are almost impossible to give away. Outside of normal service i added a full novitec exhaust and ECU and a completely upgrades stereo. Currently have 28,200 miles and the annual service is scheduled for October 1.
Cool summary. I am still on the original wheels, and simply swap snow tires onto those rims. The only significant recent expense on my 2012 FF has been the annual $5,xxx that I spend on the yearly warranty extensions for peace of mind. So far, nothing has failed so might be a silly expense. IIRC, this warranty can be extended for a total of 20 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Curious on the PTU gear oil service for $937; my FF just had it's yearly and they drained/changed the PTU oil as part of that service. Was your service due to an issue that they charged you? I've got 15k miles. Thanks.
They didnt charge me for it. They charges me for retouriqing the 2 nuts It looks like just apart of the service Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m at 17,000 miles btw. Goal is to pass 100K. Love the FF! LOL. Me, too. This is the only one I’ve ever purchased. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ha yeh its like buying a generator for the house! Once you put it in u will never lose power again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lol, we are not buying it for the car. We are essentially self insuring from our wives' nagging about "I told u so. I told you not to buy a Ferrari". In this case, we can still keep buying whatever we want because she will be like "wow only 5k covers everything a year. It's so cheap." Then we say "yeah, McLaren does not do that and do you want to check out the aperta later today?" She will then be like, "okay, let's go." I think I am getting delusional now. Lol
Total is $10,523 without the Lusso rims, or $0.40/mile. Seems inexpensive, but hearing that a headgasket job would be $50K kinda throws that notion away. Didn't realize you had the Novitec ECU. There seems to be very little discussion about it here. I think it was rated at 700hp.. Do you notice a lot of difference before/after?
Is the 710.61 cost on this one the price for repairing damage to the stock wheels? 9/14/2012 0 4,446 miles check engine light - gross and small evap leak messages present repair r/f rim campaign #371 $710.61
Great summary. My wife has had hers for 4 and a half years...surprise bday gift for her 40th. She was driving a Prius one car before this one . I wanted to trade it on a new lusso and she said, you are not touching my FF...so great for a gear head husband to hear. She is only up to 13k miles but I am doing the drivetrain warranty too...and it’s the only one I have ever done. I am on the new model drug w F so mine don’t hit the expiration but think I will keep my 812 indefinitely. We’ll see
Man what a great post, someone linked me to this from my post. A local guy near me is selling a 2012 ff with 27k miles on it. Iv never owned a Ferrari and just got rid of my Maserati granturismo Mc. It seems if i set aside 5k a year for repairs and maintenance that should cover everything huh? I'll be using an Independent mechanic who uses all certified parts. Many other Ferrari owners in my city use him. So he's got a good reputation
