I was driving yesterday and something on the road must have "clipped" my tyres and hit the fibreglass under tray (assume its fibreglass) and damaged it (5-8cm "hole"). Anyone had a similar experience and did your F dealer get it fixed or replaced.

    Any advice is welcome

Is it under original warrantee? If so replace panel. If not repair panel. Indies in the area can work the fiberglass and coat like new small imperfections. Not unusual for a driven car. I have to think a couple scratches under there are expected and acceptable especially if car was up/down a few trailers and speed bumps. These cars are very low.

Will get some pics done - yes under original warranty but I doubt I can claim it as warranty so will need to be repaired or replaced - I reckon any decent fiberglass place should be able to do it easily

My guess is the dealer will say you need to replace the entire panel. Good news is you had an impact and no one was hurt.

Car is in the shop and should know today. It is just a moulded piece of fibreglass - so I will resist replacing the panel as its probably not in stock which means a long wait. I have just gone over the 1000kms and now can use the car properly so dont want to miss out :)

I am shocked. I was expecting to be "bent over" for a new rear under tray. Very pleasantly surprised :)

Im glad it worked out. I had something similar with my 458. The lowest point on the car is under the trunk. It got scraped enough where it wore through! The guys had this very heavy duty industrial tape they put over it and so far so good. Otherwise its an entirely new trunk insert!

Glad it all got sorted. Happened to me the very first day I had the 812. One wheel bounced out of a dip in road and then the undertray hit the ground. Luckily, only a bit of glass fibre and resin needed.

Well I will be the proud owner of a spare under-tray once I have had the glass fibre sorted :)
