There are actually 10, the 11th was a slightly different purple - spec'd by Nicholas Cage when he bought it new.
But is it, really? Victor's car, it has a strange PPG sticker mentioning 'Viola Chiaro' without code # and is documented as being non-metallic black. In pictures it just seems like the ordinary Lambo Thirty color; it would be nice to see it side by side with another purple SE.
It is actually different. He only figured this out because they were having a heck of a time matching the paint for a little trim work he was having done back in the day at Al Burtoni's shop and that led to investigating it, and the rest is history. You wouldn't know it looking at it unless it was side by side with a straight "Lambo 30" painted car.
Thank you for clarifying! Weird that someone would custom order their car in a color that is nearly identical to Lambo Thirty
I saw #143 recently up for sale in this beautiful yellow. According to the service history, it seems to have rarely been driven in the last 10 years, but 25,000 miles shows someone was enjoying her. Never seen the Roadster wheels on one, though. https://www.premiergt.com/used/cars/lamborghini/diablo/se30-5-7-v12-coupe-1-of-only-12-rhd-ever-built-very-rare-investment-122
After nearly 2 years ... I am reaching the home stretch on restoring a Diablo se30 back from the dead...
Best of luck with your restoration project! This car was so heavily damaged, I would never have imagined that someone would decide to restore it. Good thing you saved the car; surely worth the investment in the long run given the significance of the SE and future prices. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It sold post auction. There was a strong amount of interest in the car after it crossed the block and RM worked out a deal for me a few days later. I am happy to say it is going to a very significant forever home. Those who missed out will likely not get the opportunity to own it again.
Congratulations to you, and to the new owner! Unrepeatable is the word that comes to mind, and yet again, great to see more of the Lamborghinis we love fall into enthusiast hands.
