I was just passing comment that sanitary regulations in food preparation are wide apart between the US and the Old Continent. But complaining that we are "protectionist" because we shun pesticides and chemicals in our food is really off the mark.
I find it funny as for years we used bleach to purify water when back packing. Maybe I am oblivious but I never heard anything bad about doing so although over the course of time new and better ways came into play. The bleach kept me from getting sick..........hummm http://geekprepper.org/purifying-water-with-bleach/
Yes, but the current cars sound like trucks. F1 needs to also sound like the most exciting race series on the planet.
So guys.... take a minute today to remember one of the best road trip actors in the business - the legend Burt Reynolds! RIP Bandit......... teaming up with Snowman once again, don’t hit the pearly gates with your black Trans Am good buddy
As per the above post. Try selling a Spa weekend to your wife and kids based on what you say. Best, Sammy
Don’t say that pete, he’ll agree with it and advocate that the LONDON bus company sponsor ferrari in f1 next year in return for supplying engines!
If everyone uses public transport you and I could have a clean run to Silverstone in our Ferraris burning as much fossil fuels as we like and having fun along the way, picking up girlies and tickets from the cops
The sound would improve if they allowed to burn more fuel and rev higher. They could even reduce the displacement even more (Formula 1= 1 litre?) and have little V6 engines revving at 20.000 rpm.
Sold, I’m there mate, and we can hold the gears and watch the Rev lights hit the top before we change up too! Awesome. I have had the 458 down at 4mpg at times, you can almost feel the air around you getting warmer !
Long as they are slow and cumbersome like that, and they get limited to the inside lane, I’m all for it, get all the crap cars off the roads and leave more room for real cars...... awesome...... when can you get it done William? Need funding?
Nah, bigger displacement, maximum revs, use whatever fuel you like, bolt on super chargers and turbos at will as long as they make more noise...... formula one then = formula fastest, loudest and most extravagant.... brilliant. It’ll be interesting again
Pete, we’ve found a way his plan suits us ferrari drivers..... let him do it. If they are all stuck on the side of the road with nowhere to charge, let em fail, I won’t be on one of their dopey buses, even if my life depended on it.
Bigger is not always better. Just listen to this Kawasaki ZX2R inline 4 62cc per cyl, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder with a 20,000 rev limit, all mass production based. Now picture a 1000cc V-12 pure race tuned naturally aspirated engine that has a red line around 27,000 RPM. A pure mechanical symphony
Danger is out there. Very sorry to see the extent of the injuries as released by the family of this racer. Racing is safer than in years before but we do have accidents and should keep up the work and focus - https://www.autosport.com/indycar/news/138555/full-extent-of-wickens-injuries-revealed "The severity of the spinal cord injury he sustained in the incident remains indeterminate and under evaluation. "Physicians stress it could take weeks or months for the full effects of the injury to be known." The statement listed the following among the injuries suffered by Wickens: thoracic spinal facture, spinal cord injury, neck fracture, tibia and fibula fractures to both legs, fractures in both hands, fractured right forearm, fractured elbow, four fractured ribs and a pulmonary contusion." The Wickens family has decided to release full details of the injuries to ensure the severity of his condition was accurately reported.
Sounds like a horrific crash, and it’s always a sad reminder of the risks we take on track at times. Hope he recovers fully
I think when all electricity is produced with renewable energy one day the F1 is gone for a long time already.... [emoji6] Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Hahahaha hahahahahaha........ I reckon Isaac Asimov writes your posts William, they are based so far in the future hehehehehehehe
Right, let’s get this thread back on track, after all, it’s my thread technically, so it glorifies waste, petrol burning supercars, leaving the DVD player and tv on standby, leaving the lights on, and never closing the doors to keep the heat in. Now, who managed to get the lowest mpg in their cars ON THE ROAD, not the racetrack. I’ll start..... 1999 Corvette C5 left hooker, 2mpg at full acceleration speedo reading 160 and counting..... it actually used less when the acceleration slowed getting to 180+! Once I got rid of the Goodyear F1 eagles and put on proper tyres, that car flew! I’ve had much faster, but it was like a lightspeed truck to drive!
