F40 because it is Enzo Ferrari's Swan Song, an all-manual raw street car good enough to have raced @ Le Mans, the epitome of the Ferrari Supercar.

I’ve always said F40 but the Enzo is an extremely close second.

Agree, F40 set a mark in history but the Enzo design is so avant garde for its time.

Enzo because it does everything better, is more captivating in its appearance and has a much more impressive engine.

Actually Enzo said that the best Ferrari is the next one. He didn't care much for obsolete cars. Moreover, he was enamoured with the V12. I guess that between these two, he would choose the car that bears his name.

This argument sounds amusing to Europeans, where 18 year old girls and 80 year old ladies drive manuals. :D

F40 for me, it looks so cool. Enzo is over-styled and has not aged well.

I cant say. They are so different. They are both very raw but you could actually drive the Enzo everyday if you wanted. But it is still brutal when you put your foot down and the steering is amazing. So precise.

Enzo. I'm too tall for the F40 in reality. I'd like to drive the thing. Still love the Enzo. Great looking thing.

Enzo would need it's gearbox updating however. Nero with Rosso seats, please.

    F40.

Mr. Enzo Ferrari was an extremely strong willed person. He willed his success into reality. The F40 was the last car he willed into existence. It was also the the first street car to break the 200 MPH barrier. The F40 didn't just define what a Ferrari supercar should be, but it redefined what any supercar should be. Everyone loves the F40- even people who don't like cars! And as such it is simply an ICON. If there were no F40, there might not be an Enzo today. There might not even be a Ferrari today.

I love the Enzo. Its great looking and was a marvel of its time. It is iconic. But the F40 is the ICON.

Definitely F40 in all it's various street and race versions. The F40 simply has a stronger connection to Enzo Ferrari including his many decades of racing history.

Or you could say it so much better like you did! I notice you put up a pic of a prototype. Was this a test? :)

The F40 is a Ferrari icon, but it is not the beginning and the end of the marque. It is the 2nd of the supercars, hypercars nowadays. It is as significant as any of the rest. To my eyes, the fact that it is not a N/A V12 is a bad thing...

The prototype was just a different example of the variety of versions the F40 was produced in over the years.
To me the Enzo Ferrari connection is more important than the number of cylinders as he also produced 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder race cars to along with the famous 12 cylinder cars. There were also motorcycles raced in the early days but this is mostly forgotten now...

Most expert race drivers I speak to all say the F40.

The things that lure me to the Enzo are not race things. They are ease to drive and egress, ingress. So those aren’t really a valid reason to place the car above the F40.

My favorite car is the FXX Evo which is, of course, Enzo derived. Add three hundred horsepower and take out two hundred pounds and you can imagine its raw fierceness.

Having said all that, I defer to the experts and say the F40.
