Yes! I'm strongly considering moving one my the other cars to finance a conversion. I dig the F1, which I did not really expect at all...but a manual in this thing would be SUBLIME. Plus, for what I bought mine for, I'd still be at least $100k below the current cost of an original manual. Win!

For all the hype, there is not a nickel’s worth of difference between a F550 and a F575. One, count them, one Brit reviewer bad mouthed the suspension on a F550 and next thing you know, it is gospel. Even an above average driver can’t tell the difference. Besides, you shouldn’t be driving those speeds on the street.

In my book, anybody who pays up for a manual F575 is nuts. Just buy the best F550 you can buy.

Now, a factory manual F599? Yeah, even though I’m not a collector, I can see the value of the last ever manual Ferrari V12.

It won’t be the last forever even Porsche brought back the stick and once Ferrari realizes how much more it can charge for one they will bring it back too

I don’t think they will. When you sell everything you make, why brother?

Ps. Porsche never gave up on manual transmissions.

I would like to refer you to one Brit reviewer who owns both a 550 and a 575 (me) and who in this article comparing the two

    https://www.lux-mag.com/best-modern-classic-ferrari/

    Came to this conclusion:

"But overall, as a Ferrari for fast, real-world driving, combining speed, luxury, handling, refinement and utter aristo-Italian factor, the 575M manual with Fiorano Handling Pack beats the 550, and by a quite distinct margin."

And for another view from another source, EVO magazine compared several front engined V12s in this memorable review

    https://www.evo.co.uk/ferrari/599/14111/ferrari-599-gtb-vs-275-gtb-daytona-550-maranello-and-575m

And came to this conclusion (a similar one):

"I’d have scarcely believed it, but the 575M Fiorano monsters the 550. There’s more steering feel, greater traction, even a better ultimate balance."

I'm personally not sure the hypermanic 599 would suit a manual, but that's a different story.

I’ve driven both on the street. I wouldn’t pay up for the Fiorano package, but that’s just me. Hell, one problem I had with my F550 was going too fast. I would hit 90 just rowing the gears to third, and I hadn’t even left my neighborhood.

It cost me $19K to sort my 456M to perfection, and that was before I did the motor mounts at 30K miles and added drilled brake rotors. That era of V12's are expensive to sort out if you're a perfectionist.

Very interested to see what this car brings. I think the market has corrected but many sellers are still in denial about it.

speed wise yes...... other factors, imho, i'd say no.

over 5 yrs my 575 was honda accord reliable. no check engine lights, no electrical gremlins, no twisted shock cables, no slow down lights, nothing......

Ad says it's a US spec car and the six speed is factory original. If true, how do you buy a US spec car in France?

Yes, when it comes to Ferraris, later in a production run is better.

And that car has everything I can think of except for the modular wheels, while this one has the modulars but no shields. Should be a wash price wise, so whatever the high bid here is, it should be indicative.

You're right. I just saw the Pozzi part. Nice idea to drive through Europe before getting the car shipped to the US. Gated 575 owners are obviously classy ;)

You call the dealer and tell them you want to order a US-spec Ferrari? I think that's all it takes... in France, I would guess that it helps to speak French. Maybe you need to tell them you want to bring it to the US ultimately, or sign something saying you will, or something like that.

My 612 was delivered in Maranello... selling dealer was "Ferrari SpA" and it's a US-spec car.

I know of at least three European car manufacturers who offered European delivery of US cars back in the 90s and probably to this day. MB, BMW, and Porsche offered had that program for US customers if they ordered the car through their US dealers and took delivery in Germany usually at the factory. Too bad the BaT car isn't Blue Pozzi delivered by Pozzi in France.
