Lol that's awesome. I wish someone would put together a compilation of all the times he's said "far from ideal" in interviews. The haters would probably like it unfortunately. I noticed he says it at least every other post-race interview lol. I blame the pit strategy on the reasons to using that phrase. ;)

I'd like to see Kimi run all over LEC next year.

Oh well, he'll drive for Alfa-Sauber next year.

    Thank-you Kimi for the memories.

I think the swap is a dumb move.

According to some gossip, part of his salary would be paid with Sauber's stocks.

The surprising move is he's going to Sauber and not retiring. But, for an ownership deal that has a wealthy sponsor . . . why the he!! not?

Kimi is mildly interesting but a seat that could have gone to someone else is wasted. So much for young drivers. I give credit for moving Charles to the Red Team but this seat should not be Kimi's. Enjoy the midfield lol

As much as I like Kimi Sauber should not be used as an old driver's home.

I suppose one thought was that if Leclerc can't handle it, they can put Kimi back in and switch drivers. Maybe it puts Leclerc under more pressure to keep his seat.

There is no question that Kimi will help Alfa/Sauber both technically and also in popularity. Kimi is one of those people generally well liked by the masses (like Massa was).

And, can you imagine Kimi in an Alfa actually beating Ferrari in a race? That would be something else.

I wouldn't doubt one bit that Sauber/Ferrari negotiated and Kimi swapping seats was the best resolution they could come up with.

Then again, I think it makes perfect sense. Sauber is on the rise, and they want to take the next step and compete with the other midfield guys. Putting Kimi in their car, with his vast experience, can only help get the car set up and pointed in the right direction. Anyone can hate on Kimi for not winning (despite Ferrari preventing that at every step), but you can't deny he's still got the speed to play with the best of them.

Two dumb moves by Ferrari, and to "honor SM's wishes"? Wow. By all means, let sentimentality rule!

Sorry, but I really hope Sauber beats Ferrari in Championship points next year.

Not going to happen, but I would love to see Kimi go out and show the new kid how it's done once or twice :)

Ideally, that wouldn't be good for the big picture at Ferrari. Vettel must win as often as possible over the last seven (?) races.

Drivers come and go. Ferrari will always be there as a team.

I have a feeling they're using this sentimentality to their advantage - if all goes well next year they'll take the credit, and if the drivers blow it, they'll blame it on the dead man.

    Best,

    Sammy
