I guess you missed the fact where Lewis hamilton is the only driver to win a race in every season... EXACTLY!
If anyone missed Luca's most recent comments: Luca di Montezemolo says he was "disgusted" by fans who booed Lewis Hamilton after Sunday's Italian Grand Prix. Di Montezemolo, who ran Ferrari for 23 years from 1991-2014, said jeering and whistling at the Mercedes driver after his win was "a big mistake". "Lewis is a fantastic champion, has always been very correct, and he made a fantastic race. Full stop," he added. "What happened was very, very bad and I am really upset." https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/45403007
What Apart from the usual wanking in his stats does this have to do with the fact that he never won with anything but a Mercedes engine??? Do you actually read posts you reply to or do you simply don't understand them??? Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Bad "calls" from the pit wall? How many do you count, I only remember one and we all know that after that Lewis was barely able to drive and they had to apologize even over the team radio to calm him down. So if Lewis had to deal with the Ferrari strategists all season he most likely would have imploded by now or do you really think at Ferrari they would give the same clown show as Vowles/Wolff do to stroke his ego??? And what? Luca went out of his way to say he respects Hamilton as a great champion and thought he was treated badly at Monza. This in direct conflict with what Daytona suggested - meaning Luca's opinion has either evolved over the years (or any negativity re: Lewis never really existed.)
Who knows what was said in private , as it stands it is pure hearsay from a source that is incredibly biased . Luca is no fool , and it is very hard not recognize Lewis’s achievements, love him or hate him
Drivers aside, I really think the Ferrari F1 team management needs to launch a thorough deep dive to revamp their race weekend approach and related processes. The current process is clearly not working for all parties - pitwall, drivers, management, tifosi. With the car itself sorted some-what technically, it is now down to operations and execution. Lastly, driver management especially with new lineup in 2019. Plans need to be put to action 'now' to have any chance of winning WDC/WCC in 2019/20.
I'm interested to see what Leclerc can do with a red car, next year. I hope they don't abuse him into a "supporting" role -- e.g. supporting or ignored (like Kimi, this year).
Unless strategy and management improve along with fewer driver errors, Charles may not enjoy the move up to Ferrari as much
And you were talking about plurals but once again you do not answer when proven wrong...as always. I would say Ferrari had more bad calls than Mercedes. And for the tires: what about changing the tires for certain races that suited Mercedes more than anybody else. Leaves my opinion: Lewis in the Ferrari would NOT lead the championship not to mention having "sealed it already"!!! Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
I'm not a Lewis love or hater, but I can't see him bringing anything to Ferrari that would fix all the execution problems that they have every other race weekend. He could wring all the performance out of their (very capable) car. But if the back office isn't bringing their A game each and every time, he won't be at the top of the standings and winning championships. Mercedes mostly runs like a well oiled precision focused German machine. Ask Vettel or Kimi how having a great car only has been working for him this year.
Mercedes miss judged the VSC on the first race ! Mercedes also screwed Hamilton by delaying a new engine, which resulted in Ham finishing off the podium. Do you really want me to name all the screw ups Mercedes has done this year? Why do you keep fighting the fact Ham is out driving Vettel?
Do you actually listen to yourself? "Mercedes screwed Lewis by delaying a new engine ".... they made sure he gets the best and most reliable engine possible when proven rather than risking a DNF and you called that "screwed"? And Mercedes did nothing wrong the first race. Ferrari gambled and won, if the VSC did not come out (who other than Briatore can predict that?) Lewis would have easily won in the best car of the day.... You guys are so spoiled from 4 years in the absolute dominant car that everything apart from 100% perfect is "screwed over". Why do you think that anybody else in the field has an absolute perfect weekend? If Lewis would need to deal with the questionable calls of Ferrari he would implode. This is so funny! If Hamilton were driving the Ferrari he would be in the same position he's in today, Winning...
My point exacty!!!! Why do you think that anybody else incuding Mercedes has an absolute perfect weekend? Let me know when we can talk about reality again
No, this is exactly NOT your point!!! Once again you try to twist it around in lack of arguments. You try to make big stories ("screwed up") out of the smallest inconvenience to tell us what huge trouble Lewis has to face at Mercedes and yet comes out on top. And the one time they really missed the right call he made such a big fuss about it that his chief strategist had to excuse himself over the team radio just to get him focused back on the race and Lewis still got on. And then you want to make us believe that Lewis would easily cope with the fact that Ferrari got the strategy wrong more often than not this season...and you seem to neglect that Mercedes uses his "butler/wingman" even more in his favour than Ferrari ever did with Kimi... And after all that you have the nerves to insinuate others a lack of reality.... And not to mention your buddy above...he only shows up when Lewis wins and he adds absolutely nothing to any discussion apart from his drivel what a genius Lewis is and what a looser Vettel. And just like with Rosberg back then you guys seem to lack the intelligence to understand that talking down your main opponent also takes down the achievement of your poster boy as greatness can only be measured by your opponents and if Lewis only wins against a bunch of losers all the time, where is the achievement in that???
When does that get into your head? It is not "driver only"!!! It is a combination of driver/car and I doubt that the combination Lewis/Ferrari would be any better than Seb/Ferrari. That is the whole point of the thread but you obviously do not understand that...
I don't think, historically, that Ferrari has given even a little bit of concern to that issue. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using FerrariChat.com mobile app
