Brothers and Sisters of The Revolution,

I was working on my car today, and I looked down and this was on the floor underneath the car. I can't for the life of me figure out what this is and where it goes. One of the prongs is also broken- I touched it and it immediately broke.

Around the top is a rubber gasket. I am worried this might be something very important. Could someone shed some light on to what this might be? Thanks!

What were you working on specifically.

I have had my car in parts many times and have not seen that, but there are some things i have not taken apart yet .
Dont think its from the car but been wrong one other time I think.

If from a car could be some kinda of a breather vent type.
Like a cap to offset the air comming in

Thanks for the vote of confidence that it was not from the car. I was not working on anything else at the time though there are several other cars in the warehouse. The thing is that part was NOT on the ground earlier on in the day.
I am working on my CV boots and thought I'd tidy the car up.

No, that is the plug on a port from the starter. almost impossible to put back on, but you can try.
