Senna gave me the ****s, as did Prost, Hamilton ...... loved Niki (the traitor ), Schumie, Rubinho, Gilles (the wrecker) Ambivalent about Kimi, disliked/liked/disliked/liked, same for Webber, Mansell, Max, Hakkinen, .......
Fair enough, to be honest i watch him for his racing 99% of the time. That's why i'm a fan. Same with Micheal Jordan, there were stories of people not liking his persona, but his game is what's mostly remembered by his fans and the NBA world. However i do wonder why Kimi does'nt get as much hate about his persona
Kinda ironic to see this thread in a year where he basically walks on water. We should have the "Vettel sucks" thread instead. But no, that'd be blasphemy.
You guys lately made a "Vettel sucks" thread out of every single thread...so where is your problem? Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
Well, Kimi is, though not always very consistent, a cool guy. Unlike the whining baby Elton. That 's a talented, tasteless, styleless idiot. Can't sympatise with that, even if he got 10 WDC.
I watch F1 because i like to see greatness as a driver, and Lewis is great. His whole story like others, is inspiring. I could'nt tell you the wardrobe or what a driver did on his off time, I don't treat F1 like a drama series.
I may find his antics and clothing annoying, but I think his skill cannot be overlooked. After watching videos of him talking about his upbringing with his father/brother, I think he seems like a genuinely nice person as well.
I don't share his dress sense, don't care about his music and I don't want to know the address of his hairdresser, but that is probably because of age difference. Having say that, I think Lewis Hamilton behaves exactly how I would expect a successful sportsman of African origins to do. Frankly, I am more interested in what he accomplishes on the track than his extra curriculum activities. To me, he is the best driver of this era.
After your racism thoughts a few posts ago, it's amazing that you racially stereotype him because of his "successful African origins". Your post can be construed as more racist than anything else on this thread - I'm not black but I would probably be offended by your statement above. Isn't what you're stating blatant racial profiling ? Best, Sammy
I'm not a fan of Lewis since he was gifted the 2008 championship, BUT this year he has wrapped up the championship by not making mistakes.
The post is not racist, it is racial; as it refers to his African / Caribbean roots. There is a BIG difference. Sometimes the tone/context of a comment cannot be expressed by the words on paper.
I didn't say Elton is not a great driver... And if you think I watch F1 because of Kimi's wardrobe, you are mistaken. You said: "However i do wonder why Kimi does'nt get as much hate about his persona" Clear enough, no? Elton is just not a very interesting person, that's all.
Well, that's your interpretation, and I leave you to it. I have 3 mixed race children, and I celebrate it when someone like Hamilton reaches the top in what is a very elitist sport. In that sense, he is seen as a pioneer and a role model for many.
Cripes ! Can we get the PC police back to campus please ? Lewis is a successful black athlete, a fan of black music , who likes to hang around with other successful black athletes , musicians and fashion folk. To observe that is not racist , to expect it is not racist either, given there is a such a clique to which a man with Lewis' background and wealth was likely to be attracted to and be welcomed into. Are successful mega wealthy black people as likely to join a North Yorkshire real ale appreciation society? Probably not. Anyway I don't judge anything to do with his life style, and it's sadly not effecting his racing, I just never want him to beat a Ferrari. WE need to raise OUR game.
After the 2007 championship was stolen from him and gifted to Kimi. Not that that was wrong after the industrial espionage and sabotage McLaren did to Ferrari, but the "blunders" Lewis and his team made in the last few races were deliberate and a behind the scenes agreement to let Ferrari win.
I like it, conspiracy, espionage ...will make a great screen play. I'll leave it to Lewis's many fans here to suggest casting ?
Wow, just wow... I never heard such nonsense and it is completely illogical! If the WDC was staged, how could Lewis and Alonso go into the last race with a point lead? What would the FIA have done in case Kimi got a DNF for some reasons? Your conspiracy could have only worked with Kimi going into the last race with a point lead to leave room In case something went wrong on his car! Like that it is just plain wrong... And if you guys really think that the 2007 and the 2008 (as compensation) were staged you might.look wrestling instead of F1 in future... Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
