Maybe he will take a page out of the Aston Martin playbook and build 25 of them. :)

Clay or not, I would love to own it. All the benefits of admiring it everyday like the real thing, but one less car to have to maintain except dust it every so often :)

  12. I just wonder about the paint & possible cracks on clay? Moving it would seem like a gamble.

FYI, the LP500 in Japan belongs to a friend of mine who simply wanted his "impossible dream-car" to be recreated.
So he made it happen with the help of great people in Italy. He personally knew the late Paolo Stanzani.
A life-time project. This 1/1 scale model will certainly be displayed in his private Lambo museum there.

OMG Dream Garage! I know that very low Countach! What a perfect place to put this 1:1 Clay model. I love it.

Missing the rear reflector next to the rear plate. Did every car come with one?

You mean the fog light? No, not all. The reflectors are in place.

That's a rear foglight per European Transportation Authority mandates, so many Downdrafts delivered to Europe were originally fitted with them, Keke's FLA12808 included, I think I have earlier images showing this.

It's missing the rear foglight, the wheels were originally silver, and its got a 25th shift knob replacement, all minor rectifications if desired.

I don't think the foglight is missing, it's a 1985 car, it doesn't have the switch either in the central console, those cars can't have it since there was no room for the button.

I confess I have not really studied the topic rear fog-lights.

That said, just based on image archives, there are many examples of 1985 Downdrafts with rear fog-lights.

There are also a fair number of examples of 1984 LP500S with rear fog-lights even before that.

I my swiss registry I have some more without fog lights, since Keke's FLA12808 is a very early one it might be that it didn't have.

That would be the ideal car I am looking for (triple white) but not at that price.
