I am looking for a pair of 1950's Weber 45 DCO 3 carbs for a four cylinder Maserati engine I have. Any help in securing them would be most welcome. I also have some parts for a Maserati 200S, such as refurbished wheels, some brake drums and other miscellaneous parts that are for sale if anyone is interested.

Sorry, I need 45 DCO 3 carbs and they are not remaking them in that size. I'm looking for a vet good set of used ones. They are extremely rare and are usually expensive.

    Hello...rare carburetors indeed....

You might try posting the request Aston Martin and Jaguar forums since these were also used on Aston DB4GT Zagato and Jaguar D types....

    Good luck...

I have an original A6GCS gearbox for sale. Plus a non-original 5-speed gearbox for a 200/250S - the last remaining of five made by Patella.

    Regards

    Wolfi

He is looking for DCO3s, not DCOEs. Sort of like the difference between hen's teeth (unobtainium) and eggs (any supermarket). I have 10 40DCO3s, but sorry, no 45s. Super rare. Good luck.

    Hello Tony,

I might be able to help you with a third carb. It is not exactly what you want as it is a 42DCO4 Weber, but can easily be converted to a 45 DCO3 by a carb expert, as body is the same. It will need drilling up to 45 mm and new butterflies which are easily obtainable. If you are interested I can send photos. Carb is relatively cheap!!

Thanks for the offer but I need two of the 45 DCO 3 carbs and I would have to inspect the one you have so kindly offered before I would purchase it. If I couldn't find another 42 DCO 4 then I would be no better off than I am now.

Thanks so much. When you added a first name I recognize who Shaughnessy is. I'll reach out to him shortly.

    Hi Guys

Just joined the Forum and this is very interesting. Are there a number of members looking for these 45 DCO3 sand-cast carburettors?

There is a company in England that makes a replica 45 DCO 3 as they were also used by Aston Martin. They are very clear that these are replicas and are so marked as to not confuse anyone. As has been previously stated, originals are rarer than hen's teeth. I'm still looking even though I know that when I find them I will have to mortgage the house to buy them.

I saw Tom Shaughnessy yesterday with a pair of 42 DCOA3s on his OSCA. You could try www.crrosthwaiteandgardiner.com in the UK - they list availability of 45DCOs on their website.
