Suzuka in the wet ? Max would luv it .
Conclusions from Russia Planet F1 - https://www.planetf1.com/news/conclusions-from-the-russian-grand-prix-2/
Given the way Mercedes-Benz ***** slapped Ferrari and the rest of the teams in qualifying and the race, the team orders thing all seems rather unnecessary unless they want to humiliate Ferrari even further on the global stage, that may be the only explanation. The rest of the season will be more of Mercedes-Benz toying with the field, may as well give them the trophies and championships now. BHW
Very boring race. I predicted a Bottas win. Well, I was almost right. I just hope Hamilton gives that win back e.g. in Abu Dhabi once the title has been mathematically decided. World class performance by Max who is now really showing his future potential. Easily outdrove his team mate who continues to look like the journeyman he'll become next year. Nice job again by Stroll keeping his team mate in check on home soil.

I tend to agree that Max would give Ham a serious run for his money, I really rate both of them and their driving styles. However I'd prefer to see Ham in Red, without the Bull
[AMuS] Ferrari "loss of power" after the FIA adds a second sensor prior to Singapore. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/formel-1/ferrari-fia-sensor-power-vorteil/&prev=search This would probably explain the sudden drop in performance these last 2 races.

Any picks of Vettel's tires? Was he nursing them at the end or just didn't have the power to challenge Bottas?
Sorry Jim, could'nt get those. (Vettels tires) I wanna say it was both....realizing he could'nt take the fight anymore, he cut back on the power....or lack of it maybe.
Very interesting! However, I thought F1 was all about innovation, so why stifle it? If one team figured something out, other will need to do the same, or perish.
Understood. My guess is, by adding this 2nd sensor, Ferrari was "doing something that they were'nt supposed to be doing" hence the "loss in power." What I find perplexing is how and why did they(FIA) add a 2nd sensor after the 1st sensor deemed everything with the batteries was legal. Everyone uses the same ECU governed by the FIA. My guess and this is just hypothetical, someone went running to the FIA and told them to "dig deeper" after the 1st sensor was initiated....like someone told them to put the 2nd sensor at this specific place in the PU. Again, I have no way of proving this nor is there any substantiated resource to say otherwise.....it's a gut feeling and personal opinion. It's concerning the amount of scrutineering Ferrari has endured this 2018 season....more so than other teams.
Can't agree more re the amount of scrutineering. But this does make sense as Ferrari's sudden lack in performance seemed very strange to me and maybe this is why. BS I say and wish Ferrari would find something with Mercedes to have the FIA get on them about (not that the FIA would).
Give credit to the Scuderia for finding that loophole.....now that it's closed. It was fun and exciting while it lasted.
