Personal taste Mike....I grew up with them as my family were Alfa agents....Total rust buckets and poorly made......Even the old mans montreal was a dog to drive....I'd rather have Greg's Volvo in my garage as long as the sniffer dogs weren't around........
First car I bought in 1981 was a 1750 Berlina, an original rust free Canberra car sold by Ray Gulson. I'm the 2nd owner and still have it, the restoration stalled a while ago, I must get a round to putting it back together, unfortunately its job 34237493 in the list of things to do. That car started my love for Italian cars, I aways wanted a GTV to compliment it but just never got around to it. M

I drove Rob Bailey's 2000 in the Melbourne Mille Miglia a few years back, I use to love them back in the day but they haven't aged well and are very ordinary cars where you still have to wind them up to get any where Would I buy one if they were $35k (which is what his cost) ......... umm , no ...... the pedals are not easy to master with clean gear changes and even if you do your legs will end up warped for life !!!

Hadn't seen that. While I think the Alfa gives a taste of the carby Ferrari GT experience, at that price one can buy a Ferrari. I'd have a 308GT4 instead. M
