Dear friends, Any idea's about these two Silly's with a LP400 parked next? Telaio's? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The car on the left, rosso, nero, tinted screen, late bumper, not RHD not US style body, painted spoiler, choice of two 40048 to Deutsche Lamborghini and 40062 to Hahne. The car on the right is trickier but if one assumes that the interior is also nero, and if the screen is not tinted then...rosso, nero, not RHD, not US style, not tinted screen, choice of 3 of which just one went to Deutsche Lamborghini, 40026. So I plump for 40048 and 40026. How did I do?...
I have no idea to be honest...very difficult to tell. I was hoping somebody here knew about two Silhouette's and a blue LP400 parked together. Here are two more pictures of the cars, mirrors can be seen, perhaps that helps? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Continuing on with Lamborghini Deutsche as a possibility, 1120284 LP400 bleu notte bianco was consigned 14/09/77 40048 rosso nero was consigned 13/9/77 40026 rosso nero aws consigned 7/2/77
I just called in our friend and LP400 expert Victor for help, if he could recognize the place and the blue LP400... He said: Yes, I do! LP400 is #1120154, seen in Florida..at Ultimate Motor Cars Well, that shines some new light on the matter! I think there was a person in the USA that owned two Silhouette's, could that be Mike Strang? One of them is #40078, the other might be #40072? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Judging from the flag mirrors the car on the right could be 40048.... Image Unavailable, Please Login seen , ...also seen at Ultimate alongside 40066... Image Unavailable, Please Login
#40048 is a red car with USA history, so that could be possible indeed! Another red USA car is 40064, but I don't have any pictures of that one..anybody? And this is the only picture I have of #40078. Looking at the mirror that could be the car on the left. If anybody has a picture of that car taken from the front wich shows the light seats, we might have a winner.. And yes, #40066 was also there. That car was never red, so the third Silhouette with ultimate Motorworks history. these two pictures are from the same series of the other pictures Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
After seeing a Silhouette (#40016) here in Holland recently at a meeting I organised, I was inspired to built a nice Silhouette Register. I have gone through almost all the pages in this great Silhouette thread started by friend Kevin, and have tried to put all info and pictures in the right places. I'm really impressed by the knowledge you guys have about these cars, and I'm more then willing to join you here, and help with Silhouette history! Here is the link to the Silhouette Register, you can click on the little picture for more....: http://www.lamborghini-register.nl/lamborghini/home/v8/silhouette/silhouette-3000 Ciao! Marcel
Aha......P.S. Floating bumper car is 40078, now in Lebanon.... Looking at the interior, I really think this is the car on the left at Ultimate Motorcars! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear hyenahf, I have no idea how these pics ever got into my computer, but you must have shared them at one point, perhaps with my friend Marcel de Lange, and I might have got them from him long long time ago.. anyway, sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable about this, I did not know. I was just trying to help with Silhouette history ;-)
Hi Marcel, When you have a very good look at the first photo you put on the treat of those two Silhouettes, you can see the red rectangular side indicator? This in combination with the Ferrari 308 mirror, can only be 40048. Regarding the other car, I don't have any clue. 40078 was looking completely different at the time when it was in the USA. Dear Martin, no I can't see a red rectangular side indicator on that picture...But the car on the right with the flag mirror is probably #40048 like P300V8 suggested. The left car is probably #40078, because we know this car was there at Ultimate Motorworks. Perhaps Heyenaf, who took the pictures, can confirm..
