It would be nice to locate the current owner of 07246?

Looks like it last changed hands 10/29/16 at Coys. I wonder when the books became separated from the car and how?

the owner isn`t interested… he hates memorabilia traders… the questions remains when and why the papers were separated from the car….

If the Dino Register entries are correct the car has been through the hands of at least 16 owners and several dealers in it's life. That is much higher than normal so it is not that surprising that the books have been separated from the car during that time as they would not have been seen as important until the last 8 years or so when prices of these items started to climb significantly. I've often seen people on forums post that they have "discovered" items in their garage that came with a car they sold several years previously. There was one recently on Pistonheads who had found the Ferrari branded trickle charger that came with their 458 for example. Instead of contacting the buyer he sold it to (which presumably would have involved more effort) he simply offered it up to the first person to offer a £20 charitable donation. In 30 years time somebody will be upset that their classic 458 does not have all it's original accessories.

I had this with a warranty card for my car, highly suspicious as to its authenticity.
