ABC. 7:30 am for me, so 12:30 am for you? Start time would be +30 minutes.

Unless I missed something (I am at the race and I may have missed a pit stop) didn't Hamilton put a few extra laps on the SS he is starting the race on? That seemed really strange to me but, again, maybe I missed a pit stop by him.

Also interesting is that unless the teams run the soft, Kimi is only one of top four in qualifying with a set of new tires. I'm guessing though that Mercedes will be going to the softs at the pit stop. Depending on where Kimi is at the time, maybe he could try a move to the supers

No. IF so, there would not have been a question of having missed something. It would have been a given.

Of course. Supply and demand. The same thing used to happen in Indianapolis. The good thing is, it's overseas money.

So, in view of this expected Bonanza, how much Austin Hôtels actually contribute to the GP budget?

No different than the hotels in Indy when the USGP was there. IIRC Motel 6 was charging $100-$150 a night and those were the cheap rooms. What I always did was book a room the day the next year calendar was released before the hotels could jack up the prices.
