For Sale Fix/reinforce your broken/shaky 430 tail lights

Zlatan, I feel your disappointment. This community is full of great people helping each other out. As such, I'm confident Scuuuud's intentions were benign, however $h!t happens. I'm sure we all got a shipping disappointment one time or another. Just bear in mind that it’s only a communication/shipping error and it shouldn’t reflect on his product.

 

I know that misunderstandings can happen and we all do them but it’s the tone in Sky Hye’s posts here that I’m not comfortable with. If he had apologized for the situation and recognized his mistake we wouldn’t have this dialogue openly at all. Instead he tries to make me look bad and that’s it’s my fault and that I’m never happy.

I really hope that I will be able to write him a good review of the kit so that he can sell more kits. But he has to be open and make sure that the customer is notified on every move he makes in the deal.

The reason I wanted to use my fedex account or UPS/DHL is because of the fast shipping and customs handling. I was ready to make shipping labels for him with fedex and send them over. The shipping was $90 which I also told him.

 

And sadly now he’s cursing at me in a private conversation that I should just let it go. Nice way to do business.

Just to say thank you for my Kit.

I requested the Plastic Parts only as I already had everything else I need for the job.

At my request it was posted to me by USPS (changing to Royal Mail once it got here in the UK).
Took no more than a couple of weeks, which is nothing unusual.

Couple of little tweeks I did were:

1) Remove the web on the top piece to reduce possible interference with the bodywork.
This had no adverse affect on the strength.

2) Used a slightly thinner walled Grommet, and then made some Collars that sit inside the Grommet and over the Post Threads.
I made the Collars just the right length so that when the the Nuts are tightened they squeeze the Grommets just enough to add a little tension, but also allow some flexibility.

Finally set the Light Units up with shims where necessary to perfectly align them.


Overall very happy with the product, and service.

I received mine the other day. Thought I would be proactive as one light seems a tiny bit loose and that won't be tolerated.

 

After some issues with the shipping I have to say that the kit is well thought out and the fit was wonderful. It’s pretty much all you need to permanently fix this issue and move on. A huge recommendation from me and my Ferrari specialist. They were impressed and want to order this kit themselves.

If its the single screw you can drill and tap it M6 and fit a stud bar, no problem with mine for years

 

The problem most people are facing is broken bosses and screw supports.
