Yes the Repco used the 215 Buick/ Oldsmobile block. Repco crank,SOHC, 315 HP. Brabham had the least HP, but best combination at the beginning of the 3 liter formula. Lightweight, tube chassis, good handiling. Some of the others had to use older 1.5l engines: Lotus, bored out climax to 2 liters, BRM bored out to 2 liters.Cooper Maser, Mclaren destroked Ford Indy engine. Honda had the most HP, 90deg. V12 but way to heavy! BRM came out later with its 3l H-16 that BRM &Lotus also used: was Unsuccessful . Brabham car won again in 67 with Hulme. Then when Ford/Cosworth showed up late 67 with DFV, Clark/Lotus won 68. The DFV was the engine that was most successful for years after that till I believe Ferrari/Lauda 1975.
The tall wings were attached to the rear uprights. If they broke(happened enough) car flew off big time. So they were banned and installed on body work.

Would like to know too please.. if this is correct.. I assumed Seb has to win for sure, but even if Seb wins and Lewis has to finish only 8th or better, to still win championship, that will be a long shot, for it not to happen. the only thing I would see for Lewis to finish under 8th is a straight DNF..

The Ferrari 312T series was successful 1975-77 until the emergence of the Lotus 78 and later 79. Ground effects chassis had incredible grip and the wide flat 12 Ferrari didn't allow for proper venturi. Lotus 79, later the Williams FW07 and Brabham BT49 were the class of the field(virtually all cars except Ferrari and Renault using Cosworth power) until the Renault Turbo showed power advantage and reliability. Turbo power became the norm.
The forced induction rule was back in 1966, 3liter unblown, 1.5 liter blown. Nobody really tried until Renault did the development work on the turbo: piston, rings , pneumatic valve gear etc. When others saw the advantage, Mahle piston mfg.etc. had the answer. Renault was left behind.

Lewis Hamilton only has to finish seventh once either in Mexico, Brazil or Abu Dhabi to be champion, even if Sebastian Vettel wins all three of those final races of 2018.
