Wife had a work appointment in Southlake, so I grabbed my laptop & tagged along. We had lunch at Chick Fil A. Shared an 8 piece nuggets (free with coupon!!) and an order of fries. Washed down with a doppio at Starbucks.

Wow! My wife is half-way there. If she has caffeine after ~ 1 or 2 PM, then it'll keep her up @ night for hours. In the morning, though, she has to have her two "ghetto mochas" (double shot of espresso, cream, sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon) & works a Sudoku puzzle to get her brain in gear! :D

Lunch for today. Poached salmon - for the pooch. Yogurt and some new granola I tried out from the store (peach hazelnut - I'm reserving judgement, but my initial review is "meh").

Except on days I give in to my current fountain drink addiction, I rarely have caffeine these days. Really throws off my focus (and I have a hard enough time focusing as it is). I can't drink it late like your wife too.

What is that? Looks like some kind of pizza like dough?

I had to drive over near Seattle today and passed a Chick fil-a on the way to where I was going. I've only been to one once or maybe twice so I stopped off on the way back. Had a spicy chicken sandwich combo with iced tea. Maybe it's just me but I didn't think it was all that great. It was good but the breading wasn't very crisp and the fries were ho-hum. Not bad, just not great. The place was packed though, must make a killing!!!

I was out for a walk to the hardware store and spied a sign that read, "Tacos, this way -->" Since I hadn't had a taco that way yet (sorry, bad joke), I stopped in. I wasn't hungry but I had just walked about a mile and thought I had earned the extravagance. Besides, I wanted to support the new local spot. I ordered chorizo nachos. Yeah, it was interesting. I ate in silence as I was the only diner at noon-thirty.

Tomorrow's lunch will be tuna salad. How do I know? The wife put me on notice that I had better eat it since I asked her to buy it for me. Sheesh.

Met my Dad at a BBQ place about halfway between us. I had brisket, mac & cheese and coleslaw. The brisket was very good, moist, great bark and smoke flavor. The sides were pretty plain. Good overall, probably the best brisket I've had around here which may not be sayin much, we're not exactly the BBQ capital of the world. :)

One of these days. I've only been through Texas on my way to New Mexico years ago. It's actually on my radar as a place to look to move to for my retirement years. :) I can't lie and say good, real BBQ isn't one of the definite pros on my list. ;)

Good Q is definitely a plus of living in Texas!

Some people binge watch TV shows, I binge my way through yogurt brands. My current yogurt fascination is. ***eGreek yogurt. Even the 0% plain is tolerable without adulteration.

This was my lunch. I'll just about try anything with lemon in it. Tasty. Now I'm ready for more work.

    Tom lol!
I ate yogurt for “lunch” a few times this week. Too busy and the only thing in my office fridge. I always keep some for emergencies, as it lasts forever. I never listen to the “sell by” on yogurt I just smell it and go! Heh.
