Agreed, Ham didn't give up, he was behind in the points this year and the last. He kept his head in the game, stayed focused and delivered

Cheating Mercedes won the championship for their little girl..... as expected, they cant go bribing the FIA to turn a blind eye to their cheating and then lose, that would be wasting their money.

The jerk may have won the title, but yet again showed his true dumb self in the car with his constant whining messages and defeatist attitude....... the tool got schooled today, such a shame they were allowed to cheat their way back to the front in the championship. Supposedly the best out there according to his wild eyed fan base, yet too scared to even look at challenging Maxine, and spent the whole race making up excuses for his abysmal performance.

Hopefully the other teams wake up next year and make sure they beat on the FIAs door with their suspicions, and actually force them to legislate against Mercedes the same way they lobby against everyone else, and don’t let the FIA get away with letting them chest

Another season another Hamilton championship...and thus another long year for those so consumed by negative emotions.

Vettel drove pretty good in the race after a cautious start and a bump with Bottas, but Max was even better ,and Lewis had a bit of a nightmare race after a good start, then just cruised to the finish to clinch the WDC.

Vettel looked totally gutted,Kimi was looking fresher and even younger than his team mate !

The question from DC was below the belt, like kicking a man when he is already on the ground. Vettel just said its not the time to discuss where it all went wrong this year and went off to sportingly congratulate Lewis, kudos.

yes, completely agree. I thought Vettel handled that like a true professional and was gracious in defeat with his congratulations to LH. DC can go pound sand.

Well I have to give to Merc and Lewis. The team delivers and Lewis takes advantage of it. Ferrari fails Seb and he tries to compensate. That’s not going to work in F1. It’s driver, car, and team and you can’t have a weak leg. At Merc, Bottas has proven to be the weak leg. At Ferrari, it’s the team. They screwed Kimi all year. They essentially through spike strips on the track for both of their drivers. 2019 will likely be more of the same bit the new driver line ups should prove interesting. Congratulations to Lewis though. He earned it fair and square.

No, it is simply what EVERY team does when a driver decides to leave a team. That is why Prost left his retirement announcement until he clinched the title in 1993. Remember Schumi in 2006 after the announcement in Monza and his title hopes? just as an example.

Ross, I can empathize, however you’re emoting a bit. Ferrari is the only car and team who’ve rivaled Mercedes and has equal or faster car last year and this year. Vettel is as strong as Elton emotionally, he simply is missing the support system that Elton has. In 2017 it wasn’t quite all his fault (Max, Ferrari strategy) and in 2018 his errors are glaringly appearannt. I’m frustrated with Vettel and disappointed and sick of it as well. However one has to ask why can’t Vettel relax and drive to his potential? What about the culture is getting to him? Vettel has one more year to try. However we may see LeClerc eclipse Vettel they way Ricciardo did.

That was totally uncalled for. If Seb wasn't so tired and gutted, he should have said something like "After my 4th WDC I've worked hard to get my 5th, but it hasn't been enough. What did you do after your 4th WDC, David?"

Not a long year at all, I predicted Mercedes’s would win both titles until 2020, back in 2014, due to the biased rules. So far, I’m five for five...... the only person consumed here is yourself and all the Elton fans that hate the fact that everyone except them knows that the car is 85% of the titles, and Elton isn’t a great as evidenced by his pathetic outbursts in the car today, and of course, losing to Rosberg and melting down so spectacularly every time mercedes put a foot wrong. If he were a great like Michael he’d have demanded a more agggresive strategy and worked it out for himself, and been up front battling max. Max has already beaten Elton as he is in his head and Elton dare not even try to pass the youngster..... I think it’s you that will have a long season next year if max has a car under him to challenge, as Elton will always have to finish behind to him as he darent race him. Hehehehehe

To be fair Hamilton had the Championship on the line, and Max had nothing to lose. It made no sense to try to fight when you already have it in the bag.

Is that why he once again overshot the corner (like last week) and complained all the time on the radio? Because he was cruising and not trying??? Believe me, Lewis is a racer and I am certain that after this season he did not want to take the title with a fourth place rather than in style with a win... so be assured he was trying...
He deserves the title this year because he made less mistakes but this is about it...less mistakes. He certainly had the best team behind him and all those thinking he is mentally stronger than Seb should rewatch the last two races. With the clownshow he had in the car this weekend and the excuses the team had to come around last weekend to calm him down one can only imagine how well his season would have ended in the Ferrari who did many more strategic mistakes than Mercedes.
And those who think he has the ability to lead a team and develop a car should ask themselves why he did not address a 50kg unbalance last week and why he said he had the wrong tires this weekend despite the fact at the time everybody was driving these and more important those where the only fresh ones left...shouldn't he know that? Lewis is a fast driver but obviously he often has no clue at all what is going on around him....I would hardly call this race craft and awareness.
But I am sure that all the same guys as usual will come out and call me hater because every critic in Lewis is treated as blasphemy and those constantly underlining the freedom of speech here and call for tolerance towards opinions other than Ferrari will only show how intolerant they are themselves... so bring it on, I could not care less...
