So they have a decade long construction project going on in my town that was obviously bid out to the lowest bidder. Well, it finally made it to the only exit of my neighborhood.
The pictures dont do it justice, but its steep. I carefully experimented with taking it at extreme angles and its not possible, especially going down.
I'm going to call the state and see if there is anything that can be done. I would imagine there has got to be some sort of DOT guidelines that restrict the slope?
From the other sections they have done this, it was about 3-6 months before they finished the section.

Next time they are working out there see which engineering company is looking after the project.
Ask the engneer to come over and show him the problem and they can fix it in 5 minutes i am sure

Speed humps and high anti-reversing spikes have been installed at my local beach promenade. Both incompatible with F355s.

If your car has a legal vehicle height, surely they have to take action?

I am in the construction buisness and generally allways goes to low bidder.

Also generally the low bidder has to comply with very specific specifications. The work they are doing is in conjunction with the wishes of the state I am sure.

Or check this out end of problem

Or... risk assessment and mitigation. I.e. the fine for non-compliance is insignificant when compared to the profit. ;)

In Canada you either comply or wait for your money which now days is all ways significant.
Our governments place too much weight on keeping rate payers happy but of course being the contractor many will think we all ways say that.

I am mostly talking base pave jobs and noncompliance towards specifications is usually very significant.

They also usually have a traffic accomodation clause whichstates you must maintain traffic for rate payers or the state will and back charge you.

In Canada lawyers generally do not win cases against counties or provinces. Very few cases award to the contractor

Yes, a carbon fiber lip. It really only makes the noise about 1/2"lower, but it does make it~3"longer on an already long over hang

I think it was Kumho attempt to copy the MPSS, exact same tread pattern etc.
They drive fine, however I put the stock wheels with MPSS on them when i go to the track so i cant compare performance

    Okay
Thanks. I really like Kumho tires generally, but I was not sure how they would perform on an exotic. Great option to have. Thank you for your input.

    Well, that stinks.

Wonder what the response will be after you pen a letter to the state decrying how horrible your life has become because you can not drive your Ferrari.
I suspect, once they are done laughing, they will get right on it! ;)

Sorry man...I agree with the others here, asking the on site crew to reduce the slope is probably your best bet.

I actually think the nose may clear going up, then the problem is bottoming out at the top of the ramp.
They removed the westbound Lanes, now this ramp joins into the eastbound Lanes, which are actually sloped away making a pretty sharp crest.
Going at a total angle is an option as well, but there still is a risk of bottoming out and my wheels will rub on the fenders at extreme articulation.
The main thing I'm worried about is going back down it I know for sure the nose will just plow into the ground, Regardless of angle.

Therein lies the biggest issue, LOL. I will probably take my old Mercedes or Saab over and explain it to them tomorrow as nice as I can. I just don't want to sound like the stereotypical ********* "exotic owner"

The thing that sucks is every time they lay a new layer of gravel or base, they remove it and replace it. So if they fix it this week, next week it'll be redone crappy again

    "m-tecnolgia" out of japan.

Today they laid a layer of base or something. I went out there and spoke to the guys while there were re-doing the ramps. I just told them I couldn't get out with my others car. He said that this next one would be better. We will see, the weather this week is like 73 and sunny every day, want to drive!

Talking to the crew is not as good as the engineer who supervises them.
Get their name from the crew foreman or superintendant.
