Tracked down the owner. I own this engine block. It threw a rod sometime in the past, but looks like a competent engine guy could repair it.

Anyway, STILL have the engine for this car if the new owner is on FerrariChat.

Maybe try some alternate methods, run an ad in FCA publication, or the Ferrari Market letter?
FML may have tracked the auction although don't know since Gerald died, the family does still operate the publication.
I bought Gerald's Bar Sign, from his widow.

Older owners are not as internet savvy, IMO certainly the pairing of the original motor would be a bump in the equity value?
    Or, they don't care.

Marcel Massini may also know the Auction results.

best to at least ask them the question, good for you!

    @BigTex

Just found out a gent in England bought it. But does not want the engine (well, he wants it, but basically for peanuts...)

Guess it'll remain the most bad-ass boat anchor ever!

There's a rumor that a boat with a Ferrari V12 ran and sank in the Houston Ship Channel.

Given the money here, it might even be true!
Sounds like an Arno replica, in your future!

Hmmm. At Fenway earlier this year, it was like $12.

This may require a vat though :)

I think he offered a couple grand.

Couple grand? I sold an original block 1968 corvette 427/435 for 5k 10 years ago.

Don't know the cost of finding the components for a Ferrari block though.

Are you trying to tell me that the high bid was $130,000.00, and you didn't sell this thing?

The car George. The car bid to $130K lol, not this engine. DriverSource sold the car, or Fantasy Junction, or Gullwing, who fricking knows what back-door dealing happened. But at any rate, supposedly the car is in London or France? Idk. All I know is Jose at DS wanted the engine for cheap, and didn't want to step up and match it with the original car. Can't make people do what they dont want to do...
