A champion is one who wins a championship, therefore Hamilton is a champion.
A true champion is someone who also shines in adversary conditions. Hamilton does not, he starts whining and blaming others.

There is always a winner (Champion) in any championship, no matter how poor the competition.

 

I think your argument has most steam sometime ago, but you don't see it.

People who cannot accept the result of a championship because they have an axe to grind against the winner show themselves up as irrational, but cannot take anything from the champion.

What do you call Vettel then who couldn’t win the championship even though the odds were stacked in his favour. Not only is he whiny and unhinged, he is also an incompetent moron. Leclerc is going to wax that behind.......

 

I never tried to hide my dislike of Schumacher by making disparaging comments about his abilities, his look, his mood or fashion sense.

I took exception to his ruthless methods on the track where he regularly bullied opponents, try to shun them off the track or barged right into them.

His antics are well documented, such as the way he rammed Damon Hill to win his 1st title, or how he repeated that trick with Villeneve later.

There were also episodes where, at full speed, he pushed another competitor against the wall; at least once against his own brother, another time againt Barichello, etc ....

Schumacher was the only driver I know, who was disqualified from a whole championship and had all his points taken away. That says a lot !!!

So, no comparison with Hamilton whatsoever.

Schumacher was a successful driver who tarnished his image by being a thug on the track. No a great driver in my book; in that, I put him in the same category as Senna, whom I didn't like either.
