I am not impressed. It might be sort of ok just as a gap filler in a model collection, but that's about it. I see very many flaws and mistakes from front to rear. You get what you pay for.
Well sometimes pictures are difficult to do. As new real cars it s difficul to find good ones. Proportions are different for some angle etc... I imagine for diecast problems are similar. In fact, I think good brands makes s good job, diecast and resin model are coming with correct proportions.
Speaking as a professional model maker, model car manufacturer (CMA Models, Inc.) and reviewer of countless models.... There are just no excuses these days for the mistakes and problems we are seeing from Top Marques and many others. The technology exists as well as the knowledge to produce accurate model cars, but they always go the lazy and unprofessional route of making models only to a standard of what they seem to think is good enough, which in reality it is not. With that said; yes there are some (very few) brands that actually do a good or great job with proportions and details, but only a few.
I m agree with you, In Spain we said: more sugar, better is Sometimes, I pay attention with some brands as AA, it d just amazing job and correct price (in my opinion) others are making some resin as Kyosho and finally jobs looks mediocre and price rediculously expensive for what they do.
Some of the brands that I think do a good job unfortunately don't always do every model equally well, but they generally get the body shapes right as well as many (but not all) of the details. I have not included any of those brands. My list of top manufacturers is short, and forgive me if I may have missed one or two. Please note that there are a good number of other model manufacturers who have certainly produced some really great standout models, but they are all hit and miss with not being consistent and/or doing a nice job but spoiling things with mistakes on every model, or having only made one or two great models. You may notice that of the top 4 listed below, only one is/was a mass market diecast model company. The others are all specialist low volume high end model companies. I also did not put my own CMA Models brand on the top list. I left my own brand off the top companies list since I am being unbiased here. Last note; there is also a well known brand of 1:8 & 1:18 models that did not make it onto the top companies list (not a mistake). Here are a few of my favorites. These are the companies I feel have consistently done the best work with regard to quality, accuracy and detail: Ilario - They make some great 1:18 very limited edition classic cars. Mini Delta & Patrice De Conto 1:12 to 1:6. - Superb sports racing & GP. Danbury Mint - All of their later production of 1:24 and 1:12 models - classics, sports, and hot rods. Sadly they no longer produce any models. EMC - Superb 1:43 models - classic cars, sports cars, contemporary cars.
KK Scale Dino 246 in 1/12th. Looks good and is less money than the Top Marques, but why copy with all the Ferrari's left to do in 1/12th?? Who is KK Scale?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The model looks decent overall, but I do agree with Christian, the wheels look bad. I can also see that there is less detail on this model. KK-Scale have until now produced lower priced 1:18 "knock-off" Ferrari models that other companies have made such as BBR. They usually make 1:18 models with diecast metal bodies, which does not make them any better or any more worthwhile. The KK pieces are less expensive than the models they copy because they cut more corners, are less detailed, and some accuracy also suffers. So yes this new 1:12th Dino is less money than the Top Marques model, but is also less detailed. The Top Marques models are not really high priced to begin with. I just do not see any positive reason why KK would make this now, especially when the Top Marques Dino models are still available, and other colors from TM are also on the way. In my opinion there are only two reasons for KK to make this Dino now.... Greed, and Stupidity.

Latest from CMR in 1/12. Let the criticism begin. Nathan Sorry about the quality of the photos but I took them with my iphone. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I also have this model; the headlights are incorrect, and the body rivets are oversized but I'm still keeping it; my attempt at building the MFH kit was a disaster. I hope the #24 car will be produced as well. GP Replicas is supposed to release the #3 Monza winner, hopefully the headlight area will be more accurate
My friend Marshall will probably say - correctly - that it takes as much work to get it wrong as it does to get it right. But, overall I like this CMR, and especially for the price. Nathan
the front looks to me as the most problematic area. It looks too bulky, too fat, the original looks more sleek to me.....the GP réplicas loos to be a better choice, even if more expensive (it's still a decent price for a 1/12 scale model)
Have you seen the actual model? Or are you stating your opinion from the photo? The photo, taken with my iphone, seems to be slightly distorted, like a fish-eye effect. Nathan
Hard to tell for sure from photos(it might be the shape and location of the headlights that's a problem). CMR has done a few good 1/12 models, but they all have mistakes. For the money I would say they are a bargain. Amazing what you can get these days for 300 Euro.
I never saw the actual model, so it might be just an impression from the angle of the photo....it could also be the fact that headlights are not correct, wecan see thjere is a big diference when you compare them with the mfh
