The two road trips together added up to 2,100 miles in three weeks and 3,500 for the calendar year. Not bad. The Daytona was the only ‘Vintage era’ V12 Ferrari at Journées d’Automne this year although there was also a 246 Dino four Boxers (3 of them 365s) a 308GT4 and a 400. Top picture on the Auto Route by Tim Hutton rest by me.
I don’t think they are sun visors Charles, just they look that way, because the trim should have been black, so it stands out more in red. This car was repainted and trimmed with no regard to originality, it was a very original car with low miles if I remember correctly, then it was painted a very metallic black with lots of original items removed and bright red interior, it was bought by Chris Evans for over 2millon pounds this way at auction! http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/14543.365.GTS4.htm
14543 was indeed original and unique in some respects. For the sunvisors Ferrari came up with a roller blind held open with a suction cup! Keeping these old cars running has become quite the industry...
