I'd be surprised if (new) parts alone would cost less than $100,000, especially with a 2.7 car (with two of everything).

    Aftermarket engine management?
I guess you could dump the roof hydraulics/electronics and make it a manual roof.?
Have fixed suspension, instead of sport/comfort? (looks like the rear suspension actuators are fried)
I can't recall if the aircon system was working before the fire.

What he owns now doesn't even qualify as a "parts car". I skimmed through Tavarish's Lambo project videos over the last six months and found it amusing. It is cool that he takes on projects that make no sense to me, and may get them to some degree of completion.
The parts that he uses would be better utilized in a "good" car IMHO. The burned up 355 is a total loss.

Maybe a kind FChat member wants to reach out to Tavarish.

I think he subsidized the cost of the repairs with youtube revenue... which is the point of the channel.

Agreed. But still a crime against humanity IMHO. The YouTube car guys are pretty lame. How long can DeMuro, Hoovie, and Tavarish pass around the same cars and have monetized videos?

The 355 is one of Tavarish's better prospects. If it gets him clicks on YouTube, more power to him I guess. He has 550K subscribers.

I wonder how many subs think he's insane, and that's why they tune in. :)

Rescuing a neglected car and resurrecting a wreck are two very different prospects. On a car like that I just don't see how it could be worth it.

I watch because I like horror. It is a car wreck one episode at a time. I can't take my eyes away. Tavarish's videos are pretty awful.

I just watched a video who showed the analytics of some car subscribers (specifically with 355):
Doug DeMuro avg 1m views /day~$190,000 month
    Tavarish avg 4.1m views /months $28,000/month
    JRgarage avg 2m views/month $15,000/month
    Hoovies garage avg 6m views/month $41,000/month

I watched the same video. Ads on YouTube generate a lot of bucks and the Youtubers piece can add up. The Youtuber who made the video used his own payouts to extrapolate the payouts for others. IIRC, he figured $7k per million views per month but said other factors would reduce the amount for bigger players. I've heard it becomes a grind, though a lucrative grind, to produce and post every day like the successful guys do. They also can be cut off by YouTube if they breach rules. Some of tried to fight back, but i don't think any were successful in the courts.

I unfortunately watch quite a few of the car vlogger guys, several of the above and some others..
but im not a subscriber to any, I just simply watch the vids..

the analytics/formulas' for youtube revenue is quite complicated, with many factors/variables etc.. including time of the year

but these guys obviously continue to do it, as they've built a following and are obviously making enough money to justify continuing etc..

ive also watched a similar type youtube tutorial video.. and I think standard/rough/estimation formula is $2 revenue per 1000 views..
this seemed to be the consensus from several tutorial vids..

so those numbers above I would say are beyond way over inflated..

    example 1million views = ~ $2000 revenue.

you can research the analytics of any youtube channel on Socialblade.

I dont know the specifics, likely only youtube does, but I have read that targeted ads bring in more revenue than non. Example, a "fail/win compilation" or a funny animal video video may get a lot of views, but it has a diverse audience compared to a cosmetics video, or a car video. Thurs i would imagine a car video would have targeted car ads and maybe thats where the $7k/1m view number was coming from.

Tavarish is such a tool, with all the wrong tools. Check him out making his own custom fuel lines with AN fittings and two Crescent wrenches. I want to buy him an AN wrench set and a BRO.

Man, I never once used a An wrench on An fittings when I worked on helicopters. The Marine Corps is poor!

Would you risk marring the finish on your Ferrari lines for lack of a couple cheap AN wrenches?
