Updated NHTSA US 599 Production Numbers

From NHTSA's updated site, US (not including Canadian) production numbers for the 599. 2011 numbers include GTOs and Apertas.

Using the average 28% for US production (WAG for 599), that would make total production around 4275.

EMEA Ferrari market is 45 % - If you remove Middle East, Russia and Africa, around 38 %, that would make total production around 7000.
Too much for me, that means less V12 in Europe ? I ignore WAG for 599 overhere but truth higher than 4275 ? No records for 2012 onwards in States ? Late registrations possible ?

 

Numbers for US have nothing to do with registrations. They are official Ferrari production numbers passed to NHTSA. I am not sure of the accuracy of registration data. Could include the same car more than once. There was no production of 599s in those later years.

 

Are those NHTSA numbers all the cars which were certified to US spec, or are they cars which were delivered in the US? I ask because many middle eastern cars are US-spec, I believe, and that may be true for some other geographies as well.

 

Don- Just those delivered to the US. It does not even include Canadian models.

 

Thanks for the precision regarding NHTSA figures. Registration data in Europe is quite accurate, official figures, not suppositions, from each country added together. Only Bulgaria and another small country are missing. We are talking about first registration. Otherwise, car purchased in recent years from an other country will appear again. But in Switzerland a car can remain unregistered for years if not sold. That explains few cars in 2012/13 and 14.

 

Middle East cars are slightly different from US. It will be GCC specs instead of US's.
