I'm really tempted by this, but the missing air filter box is a real worry. Why would anyone remove it, then lose it? It otherwise looks like a potential bargain. Is there any FChat member in this area who could go look at it? I'm as far away as you can get, and still be American.

regarding the airbox, maybe they removed it for maintenance/servicing, ask if they still have it.

Also ask about floods and corrosion as well.

Those sills always rust right there.
I’d love to buy this and turn it into a track 348. White (makes for easy liveries), tb, wouldn’t feel bad throwing out that tan interior. Ticks some boxes for sure.

Could be a nice project that!

But if that is an original 26k miles I'd be stunned. The drivers bolster and front paint/skirt etc. do not correlate to such low mileage.

So, wheels on backwards, no air box, missing battery, fuel tank and alternator stone guards, mis-matched tire, and clearly towed to the garage, judging by the towing eye. Does it run?

(I'd wager somebody who doesn't know anything about 348s has owned it!!!)

But...could be a good project car.

It’s all about production date. What is your date Wade? In 1991?

Yes, Aug 1991, and the VIN decodes to a 1992.

I love the 348 and White with a black int. Would be beautiful.

But that is a 25-30K car. 25K (or slightly lower) being bang on bought and 30K being all the money if you just have to have it.

Wow. I knew the members of this forum would have some great comments. I totally missed the corrosion, the battery, and the tow eye!

It’s not model year differences really, it’s production date. September 91 cars have differences with the March 92 cars....yet they are both “92 model year”.

And even some of the common websites showing the differences are incorrect. Battery in the nose came earlier. Rear suspension geometry changed earlier than the Series Speciale and Spider (it’s commonly said these updates came with those cars, but it came earlier). etc.

ok then the changes weren't anything that makes one better than the other then? Nothing important?

I dont think he is saying that at all. All of those changes made progress, the significancewould be weighted more personally, especially geometry changes.

No, he’s saying the changes don’t go by model year and where implemented throughout the production run. Some of the changes are quite significant.

LF gravel guard is missing and exposing the battery which appears to be zip-tied into place.

Do a little research on Beverly Hills Car Club. It ain't in Beverly Hills. It is a well-known junkyard in a bad part of east LA next to the train tracks.
